Medicare For All
The pandemic has made it clear. Healthcare is a right, not a privilege.

Key Points
- Create a national, single-payer, Medicare for All health insurance program to provide everyone in America with comprehensive health care coverage, free at the point of service with no premiums, no deductibles, no copays, and no surprise bills.
- Expand coverage to include dental, hearing, vision, long-term care, in-patient, and out-patient services, mental health and substance abuse treatment, reproductive and maternity care, prescription drugs, and other services.
- Cap prescription drug prices.
Details
The pandemic has made it clear. Healthcare is a right, not a privilege. Today, more than 30 million Americans don’t have health insurance, and even more, are underinsured. Even those who do have insurance struggle to access quality, affordable medical treatment, even as our nation spends twice as much per capita on healthcare than any other country. That’s why we are organizing to make sure every single Democrat in Congress supports Medicare for All legislation introduced by Bernie in the Senate and U.S. Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) in the House.
