I'm a single father and a clean energy organizer. This is my first time running for office myself, although I've been helping progressive Democrats and environmental champions get elected to state and local offices in NW Washington for more than a decade. In my day job, I work for an environmental non-profit helping local communicates stand up and resist the dirtiest kinds of oil industry expansion projects. In the past I led the development of one of the most successful community energy efficiency upgrade programs in the country. I brought together state and local government, contractors, unions, financial institutions and energy utilities to help create dozens of prevailing wage jobs, cut pollution while reducing costs for hundreds of small businesses and bringing down thousands of people's home energy bills. I have also served as President of the Board at Kulshan Community Land Trust, helping to create more homes people can afford.
