Amy has been involved in Columbus City Schools for the past 10 years as a parent, volunteer, and advocate. She served as the Secretary and Vice President of PACE, a parent advocacy and support organization for the district's Gifted & Talented students, and was heavily involved in the PTA at her son's school. She is a Reading Buddy, Junior Achievement instructor, and developed a career exploration program for middle schoolers. Professionally, she has worked for small, minority or woman owned businesses for the past 13 years and have educated corporate clients on the benefits of implementing a diverse supplier program.
Amy’s priorities are encouraging the development of wrap-around services at neighborhood schools, prioritizing opportunities for apprenticeship and career exploration programs, and supporting efforts to strengthen family and community ownership of neighborhood schools.
