/ Anabel Larumbe
Anabel Larumbe was born in January 1991 in Los Angeles, California to Tomas Larumbe and Angelica Verduzco. The oldest of nine children, she learned from an early age the importance of family and what sacrifice for family truly means. At the age of four years old, Anabel’s family transplanted to Wichita, Kansas and it was here that they began to instill their roots for their family.
Anabel graduated from Northeast Magnet in Wichita and went on to receive her certification as a Pharmacy Technician. In March 2013, Anabel began her own family, marrying her soulmate, Daniel Zamarripa, a welder in Rose Hill. Although they have chosen to wait to add onto their little family for now, it’s Anabel’s passion for family and community that’s kept her rooted in Wichita and driven for her community.
For Anabel, activism is a “Labor of Love!” She works full-time at Grace Med clinics throughout the city, as well as part-time for Primerica Financial Services where she continues to advocate for middle and lower income class families. She helps them to gain financial stability and independence by becoming debt-free and protecting their credit, teaching personal responsibility through fiscal responsibility.
Anabel has worked for reform in cities all across the country, from Chicago, Illinois to Los Angeles, California, championing the rights of the working class and effecting change in immigration issues, as well as voter’s rights.
