I am a mother of three children ranging in age from 26 to 10. I studied at the University of Nevada, Reno. I was near graduation and considering law school, but had to prioritize my family, work, and finances. I have held a variety of jobs in government and non-profits. I worked for the Supreme Court of Nevada. After leaving the Supreme Court, I started a child care business. This allowed me to spend time with my children when they were younger and help my community with affordable childcare. Currently, in addition to managing my campaign, I am a fellow for an organization working to ensure healthcare and Social Security are protected now and for subsequent generations. I was a volunteer for Sanders. Since, I chartered a branch of the Working Families Party. I am currently the co-chair of Northern Nevada Working Families Party. We focus on organizing and activism; additionally, we train and support progressive candidates and encourage citizen involvement, especially young people.
