Jess King was born and raised in Leola, Pennsylvania. She entered the race for PA’s 11th Congressional district because the wealth and well-connected in Washington have rigged the game to favor themselves. She is a working mother who believes it’s time for America to work for all of us, not just a privileged few. Jess has spent her entire career fighting for working Pennsylvanians and small business owners to get a shot at the American dream, most recently as Executive Director of ASSETS - a business training and lending nonprofit in Lancaster. She has served on numerous community development boards in Pittsburgh and Lancaster, including as a Commissioner on Lancaster Mayor Rick Gray’s Commission to Combat Poverty. Jess lives in Lancaster with her husband and two school-age daughters.
