Julie Ann Nitsch is a passionate advocate of social justice with deep ties to the ACC community both as a student and as a staff member. She is also a volunteer for Planned Parenthood and the League of Women Voters. The perspective Julie brings to this election is unique, even among fellow progressives, thanks to her fresh take on the complex challenges facing today's modern, connected students. As a strong Democrat and lifelong believer in the transformative power of higher education, Julie will work tirelessly to enact common sense, pragmatic changes in the ACC system -- changes that students and faculty widely support, but the board has failed to implement, despite the massive social change the ACC student body has faced in recent years. That's because Julie is absolutely committed to making the difference to students, particularly students from struggling communities.
