Loraine Lundquist

Running for Los Angeles City Council, District 12

Loraine Lundquist is a mother, scientist, and educator who is active across her community.  Lundquist has a Ph.D. in physics from UC Berkeley and teaches courses on environmental, economic, and social sustainability at the Institute for Sustainability at CSUN. 

Lundquist also serves on the advisory panel of Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) long-range planning and has testified before California's State Senate and Assembly. In addition to sustainability, Lundquist is passionate about ending homelessness, and serves as the co-chair of the homelessness committee of Northridge East Neighborhood Council and is a founding member of the West Valley Neighborhood Alliance on Homelessness.
