Mary Ann Claytor

Running for State Senate, District 17
West Virginia
Election: May 8, 2018

Mary Ann Claytor is running for West Virginia State Senate in District 17.  Mary Ann is a life-long resident of the 17th district.  She was born and raised in Cabin Creek, WV, and now lives in St. Albans with her husband of over 30 years, Howard "Cookie" Claytor. Mary Ann received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a major in accounting from West Virginia State College (University) and her Master of Arts in Religion degree from Liberty University.  She has a passion for people and enjoys performing civic duties such as ministering at her church and correctional facilities.

Mary Ann's father, born in 1891, was a coal miner in the early part of the 20th century.  He knew the value of hard work, and he instilled its importance in Mary Ann at an early age.  Mary Ann believes the best way to move West Virginia ahead is through perseverance and a people-first attitude.  And that's exactly what she will bring to the WV Senate.  It's time for the people of West Virginia to stand strong and stand together in the face of adversity.  Let's show the world what makes us so adaptable and resilient.
