Mike Siegel has devoted his adult life to public service, first as a
public school teacher, and now as an Assistant City Attorney for the
City of Austin. As lead counsel in the lawsuit to stop SB4, he won an
early injunction against this hateful law that targets Hispanic Texans
and immigrants across the state, and continues to fight for the dignity
of all. Mike has also fought for tenants’ rights among Austin’s most
vulnerable and against right-wing lawsuits leveled against local
control. Raised in a working-class, union-strong household, Mike grew up
surrounded by people of diverse backgrounds all dedicated to fighting
in solidarity for the greater good. Mike Siegel has a demonstrated
record of fighting for working people, students, families, and
disadvantaged populations, and will bring that same spirit to the
position of Representative for the 10th Congressional District of Texas.
He is supported by his wife Hindatu and his sons Malik and Hamza.
