Ralph and his wife, Kesha, have lived in Piscataway since 2001. He is the father of four children, two of whom attend public school in the Township. Now a Lieutenant for a Newark Law Enforcement Department, having served in law enforcement honorably for the past 20 years. Ralph has also previously been a school administrator and educator for 11 years. He strongly believes in a progressive agenda, including education, racial justice, the environment, a living wage, Social Security, equal rights for all and the creation a fair and humane immigration policy. He has participated in a variety of volunteer capacities with school and civic organizations, and is the CEO and Founder of the “Take Me Away Foundation, Inc.,” a non-profit organization serving disadvantaged youth and children. Ralph is a two-term elected member of the Piscataway Board of Education.
He is currently the Chairman of the Climate and Culture Committee and the Delegate to the Educational Services Commission of New Jersey (ESCNJ). Ralph holds a Master of Arts in Education from Saint Peter’s College Graduate School and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from West Virginia University. He has a Certification of Administration and Supervision in Education and a Standard Teaching License. He enjoys volunteering as a coach for Piscataway Central Jersey Pop Warner Football and Piscataway Little League Baseball programs, as well as spending time with his family, the Men’s of Christ Fellowship Ministry, and worshiping/serving the Lord (at all times) with Zion Hill Baptist Church of Piscataway.
