Sue Spicer is the youngest of six children who grew up in rural Indiana. The daughter of a Teamster Steward (local 135) truck driver Dad & factory then nursing home worker Mom. Sue graduated from South Putnam Jr-Sr High School in 1982 with the "Social Studies Award". Sue has been open about her lesbian lifestyle since 1982. Sue has been promoted in nearly every job she had where company policy allowed. Her public service career includes: serving as neighborhood President ; Voting Precinct Inspector since November of 2012; Head Shepherd at Green Shepherd Project (Green Picket Fences). Sue was a state & national delegate for Bernie having campaigned in multiple states. Sue and partner of 15 years (as of 3/14/18) Kay Grimm co-own Basic Roots Community Foods, their local food economy rebuilding businesses. Sue is the Beekeeper at Fruit Loop Acres, their two-acre scattered site urban permaculture fruit forest. Sue is also Catering Manager at the Refresh Cafe.
