Born and raised by her single mom, College Hill, Cincinnati is Tamaya’s home. She's a product of Cincinnati Public Schools, and a graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Business. Tamaya began working on campaigns during Barack Obama's 2008 presidential campaign where she was introduced to politics, later becoming Chief of Staff for a Cincinnati City Councilmember. She currently works at Design Impact, a nonprofit social innovation firm that designs innovative approaches to tackle complex social issues.
Tamaya is running for City Council on a platform of equity and accessibility. She wants to make City Hall less of an ivory tower, and more accessible to Cincinnatians of every zip code.
