An Essex High School graduate I completed my BS in 2009 at Northeastern University. I returned to Vermont to find work that felt worthwhile. I spent time directly supporting children, adults, and families in community settings across multiple Vermont communities. In 2012 I took a position with Pathways Vermont developing and running a statewide support line to provide emotional support to Vermonters experiencing mental health crises. Working in partnership with state government I learned a lot about systems in Vermont and the ways they often are not meeting the needs of all. I spent 5 years at Pathways Vermont in a variety of roles honing my skills in building and supporting systems. During this time I also obtained my Masters of Social Work at the University of Vermont. My studies at UVM focused on systems and social justice. I know work as asocial work counselor with youth and as a school social worker. I volunteer for the NASW-VT board as a social justice steering committee member.
