Tony Kelly, President of the Potrero Hill Democratic Club in San Francisco, has been a neighborhood advocate and community leader for more than 15 years. He has fought to save neighborhood public schools and open spaces, clean up the environment, create and preserve affordable housing and blue-collar jobs, address homelessness, and support the arts. Tony has been elected and appointed to numerous leadership positions in SF’s District 10, and has served on task forces and official advisory boards to the Mayor, the Port, and the Board of Supervisors. He was a creator of the groundbreaking Green Benefit District and led its implementation in 2015. He was an author of Proposition S (dedicating Hotel Tax revenues to support SF artists and end family homelessness), which received 63% of the vote in the November 2016 election. He is co-leading community efforts to create a public bank in SF to fund affordable housing, infrastructure, small businesses, and services for the disenfranchised.
