WASHINGTON--Our Revolution candidates claimed seven victories at every level of government in Tuesday’s primary elections in Georgia, Arkansas, and Kentucky. Over half of the victories were by women and five were from first-time candidates. All of Our Revolution’s endorsed candidates support Medicare for All, a $15 minimum wage, increasing renewable energy and reforming our criminal justice system and will fight to enact policies that will make these ideas a reality at the local, state, and federal levels.
“We are incredibly proud of Stacey Abrams and all of our candidates and the local groups that worked so hard to support them,” said Our Revolution President Nina Turner. “Our Revolution’s candidates won in rural and urban areas and across all levels of government. It’s clear people want candidates who run true to their values and will work for the people, not donors and special interests. Our movement is winning, not just at the ballot box, but also by expanding the conversation and building support for policies that will lift all people such as Medicare for All, protecting immigrant communities, and raising the minimum wage.”
