WASHINGTON-- Our Revolution on Wednesday celebrated primary victories for endorsed candidates Brandon Johnson, candidate for Cook County Commission representing District 1 and Fritz Kaegi, candidate for Cook County Assessor.
“Last night, Democrats in Cook County choose progressive leadership,” said Our Revolution President Nina Turner. “We know that urban areas face unique challenges to creating affordable housing, ensuring fair wages, and protecting workers’ rights. Both Brandon Johnson and Fritz Kaegi are committed to making sure that Cook County government works for all of its citizens equally, regardless of race, income, or political connections. Our Revolution local group, Our Revolution Illinois-Chicago was instrumental in both of last tonight's, victories knocking on doors, talking to voters and sending over 14,000 text messages.”
Our Revolution supports progressive champions at every level of government. By supporting candidates up and down the ballot, we are aiming to transform American politics to make our political and economic systems responsive to the needs of working families.
