A Worker and Organizer First
Claire’s story is rooted in the struggles so many New Yorkers face. She worked low-wage customer service jobs through high school and college, and later as a worker at Columbia University, where she joined UAW Local 2110, helped lead organizing efforts, and fought for a fair contract.
She didn’t just join a union — she helped transform it, organizing alongside her coworkers to democratize their workplace and win better conditions.
She also became a leader in the movement — organizing with NYC-DSA and helping build the kind of grassroots power that fuels real political change.
Today, she brings that same commitment to her role as a New York State Assemblymember, where she has already begun delivering for workers.
A Bold, Unapologetic Agenda
