- Defending Reproductive Rights: Cole chaired the subcommittee on constitutional amendments, passing H.J. 1, which enshrines the right to personal reproductive decisions — including abortion, contraception, and prenatal care — as a constitutional amendment. This victory lays the groundwork for a critical ballot initiative next year.
- Tackling Money in Politics: His HB 2165, which bans the use of campaign funds for personal expenses, passed both chambers—an important step toward reducing corruption in Virginia politics.
