Four Progressives for the Colorado State House
This November, Colorado voters have an opportunity to send a powerful group of progressive champions to the State House — leaders ready to take on corporate power, stand up for working people, defend our rights, and make Colorado a place where everyone can thrive.
Our Revolution is proud to endorse Iris Halpern in House District 6, Junie Joseph in House District 10, Steph Vigil in House District 16, and Kenny Van Nguyen in House District 33.

Iris Halpern — House District 6
Iris Halpern has spent her career taking on powerful institutions — and now she’s ready to bring that fight to the State Capitol.
A civil and workers’ rights attorney, Iris previously worked as a national organizer for SEIU and served as an Acting Supervisory Attorney at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in Denver. Her legal career has included fighting for workers facing wage theft, victims of workplace harassment and discrimination, transgender employees, immigrant workers, teachers and librarians fighting book bans, and others whose rights have been violated.
Now, Iris is running to take that same fighting spirit to the Colorado House.
Her campaign is calling for bold action on Colorado’s housing crisis, affordable healthcare, stronger public schools, workers’ rights, environmental justice, bodily autonomy, immigrant protections, and civil liberties. She also wants to tackle the concentration of economic and political power by challenging Colorado’s regressive tax structure and limiting the influence of dark money and wealthy donors in elections.
At a moment when fundamental rights are under attack, Iris is running to make Colorado a model for what it looks like to fight back — and put ordinary people ahead of corporate greed and billionaire influence.

Junie Joseph — House District 10
Junie Joseph brings a global commitment to human rights and a deeply local commitment to the people of Boulder.
Before entering the Colorado Legislature, Junie worked with the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva and USAID in Côte d’Ivoire. She went on to serve on the Boulder City Council and as Mayor Pro Tem before becoming the State Representative for House District 10.
Her guiding philosophy is simple: everybody wins when everybody wins.
In the Legislature, Junie has worked on climate resilience, community safety, housing, education, and other issues affecting working families. She is an outspoken supporter of collective bargaining, arguing that workers must have the ability to organize, strike, and bargain for better conditions. She also strongly supports reproductive freedom and believes abortion access should not depend on a person’s income.
From fighting climate change and addressing Colorado’s housing crisis to defending reproductive rights and strengthening worker power, Junie is proving that progressive government can deliver tangible results while making sure nobody gets left behind.

Steph Vigil — House District 16
Steph Vigil knows the struggles facing working people because she has lived them.
Steph has experienced housing and transportation insecurity and describes herself as someone who came to public service not from the political class, but with working-class grit and firsthand knowledge of what happens when people are left behind by the status quo.
She turned those experiences into action.
When Steph previously represented House District 16, she put working families at the center of her work, took on corporate lobbyists, and helped pass legislation strengthening worker protections while advancing more affordable housing, better transportation, and environmental protections.
Now she’s fighting to return to the State House.
Steph believes working people create our economy’s wealth and deserve a government that works for them — not just wealthy elites. She supports stronger worker protections, reproductive freedom, LGBTQ+ rights, voting rights, due process, expanded transportation choices, and a just transition to renewable energy.
Steph’s campaign is about turning struggle into solidarity — and building a government that gives every Coloradan a real foundation to thrive.

Kenny Van Nguyen — House District 33
Kenny Van Nguyen represents a new generation of Colorado leadership rooted in community and public service.
Born and raised in Colorado to Vietnamese refugees, Kenny was the first in his family to graduate from college and later earned a Master of Public Administration from the University of Colorado Denver.
His path into politics began with service. Kenny worked with young people in underserved communities through AmeriCorps and the “I Have a Dream” Foundation, became a community organizer, spent more than five years working for Colorado Lieutenant Governor Dianne Primavera, and was elected to the Broomfield City Council.
In January 2026, Kenny was appointed to represent House District 33 in the Colorado Legislature.
Now he’s fighting to continue that work — with a focus on protecting vulnerable Coloradans, tackling soaring housing costs, strengthening infrastructure, and expanding public transportation.
Kenny has pledged to be an advocate for long-promised passenger rail in the Northwest Corridor and is pushing for more affordable housing options so working families can continue to live and thrive in their communities.
For Kenny, representation is personal. As the son of refugees and the first in his family to earn a college degree, he understands the difference opportunity can make — and he’s determined to make sure Colorado remains a place where everyone has the chance to build a future.

Building Progressive Power in Colorado
Iris Halpern, Junie Joseph, Steph Vigil, and Kenny Van Nguyen each bring something different to this movement — a workers’ rights attorney who has spent her career taking on powerful institutions, a human rights advocate turned legislator, a working-class fighter shaped by lived experience, and the son of refugees who built a career in public service.
But they share the same fundamental belief: government should work for working people, not wealthy corporations and powerful special interests.
This November, we have the opportunity to build progressive power in the Colorado State House and elect leaders who will fight for affordable housing and healthcare, strong public schools, worker power, reproductive freedom, civil rights, and communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
