Shane has a clear vision for transforming the Recorder of Deeds office into a modern public service that works for everyone—not outdated bureaucracy.

Modernizing an Office That Serves Every Family

Every resident deserves quick, reliable access to the public records they need.

Shane will modernize the office by expanding digital access to public records, improving customer service, increasing transparency, and making services easier and faster for everyone who depends on them.

He’ll also protect and preserve St. Louis’s historic records while ensuring they’re more accessible to the public.

Government should work for the people. Shane is committed to making sure this office does exactly that.

Protecting Homeowners and Seniors

Shane understands that protecting public records also means protecting families.

That’s why he’ll establish free property fraud alerts to notify homeowners whenever documents are recorded against their property and help identify suspicious activity before it becomes a crisis.

He also plans to partner with local law clinics to provide basic estate-planning assistance for seniors, making it easier for older residents to protect their homes and prepare important legal documents.

These practical improvements can make a real difference in people’s lives.

Helping Communities Recover

Shane is focused on making government more responsive during times of crisis.

He will create one-point access for critical records and probate documents for families impacted by the devastating May 2025 tornado, helping residents recover more quickly when they need government services the most.

He also plans to establish a document portal to help St. Louis families affected by radioactive exposure obtain the records needed to pursue federal reimbursement claims.

Bringing Professionalism and Accountability

Shane believes public offices should serve the public with professionalism, accountability, and respect.

He’s committed to bringing best practices to the Recorder of Deeds office, modernizing operations, improving transparency, and ensuring every resident receives efficient, dignified service.

Early voting is underway in Missouri, and the August 4 Democratic primary will decide who represents working people in Congress, who fights for our communities in Jefferson City, and who leads critical local offices in St. Louis.

Gina Mitten for State Senate — District 4

Former state representative, attorney, and administrative law judge Gina Mitten has the experience and proven progressive record needed in the Missouri State Senate.

During eight years in the Missouri House, Gina fought for reproductive freedom, strong public schools, affordable healthcare, paid sick leave, fair wages, collective bargaining, gun safety, and government accountability.

Gina has consistently voted to protect abortion rights and will stand up to politicians who attempt to overturn laws approved by Missouri voters.

Nicole Greer for State House — District 71

Nicole Greer is a Creve Coeur City Council member, former council president, grassroots organizer, and longtime union member committed to expanding opportunity for Missouri families.

Raised by a single parent, Nicole’s family relied on subsidized housing, SNAP, WIC, and free school lunches. She later spent 13 years as a member of the Communications Workers of America, where she saw how collective bargaining, fair wages, and worker protections can transform people’s lives.

Nicole is running to reduce inequality, support organized labor, and bring responsive, community-centered leadership to Jefferson City.

Kennedy Moore for State House — District 73

Kennedy Moore is a longtime community organizer who helped lead the successful statewide effort to pass Amendment 3 and restore abortion rights in Missouri’s Constitution.

Kennedy helped train and coordinate thousands of volunteers who collected 380,000 signatures in only three months. When Republican lawmakers moved to disregard the election results and reverse the voters’ decision, Kennedy decided to run for office herself.

In Jefferson City, Kennedy will defend reproductive freedom and Missouri’s initiative petition process, invest in Ferguson-Florissant public schools, protect workers and unions, lower healthcare and utility costs, and fight for safe, affordable housing.

Rachel D’Souza for State House — District 79

A lifelong Missouran, nonprofit strategist, and St. Louis Housing Authority commissioner, Rachel D’Souza is running to put working people and families ahead of wealthy special interests.

Rachel will fight to lower healthcare costs, protect reproductive and LGBTQ+ rights, strengthen tenant protections, expand affordable housing and childcare, raise wages, and fully fund public education.

She is also committed to protecting voter-approved laws and securing greater state support for communities still recovering from the devastating May 2025 tornado in North St. Louis.

Jimmy Lappe for State House — District 81

Jimmy Lappe is a lifelong labor activist, IBEW Local 1 member, former St. Louis alderman, and St. Louis Public Schools parent with more than 25 years of grassroots organizing experience.

Jimmy helped lead successful campaigns to raise Missouri’s minimum wage, expand Medicaid, defeat the state’s anti-union “Right to Work” law, protect the St. Louis earnings tax, and pass government ethics reforms.

In the Missouri House, he will defend collective bargaining, public education, reproductive healthcare, local democracy, and laws approved directly by Missouri voters.

Rep. Ray Reed for State House — District 83

Rep. Ray Reed is a bold young leader working to give the next generation of Missourians a stronger voice in state government.

Ray drew national attention by helping lead a 125-hour sit-in against a Republican congressional redistricting plan designed to undermine fair representation. He has also maintained a 100% Missouri AFL-CIO voting record.

Ray is fighting to protect reproductive freedom, fully fund public schools, expand affordable healthcare and childcare, strengthen unions, defend local control, and stop tax giveaways that shift costs onto working families.

Matt Vitale for State House — District 96

Matt Vitale was born and raised in South St. Louis County. He’s a father, disability-rights advocate, and civil-rights enforcement expert who has dedicated his career to expanding accessibility and holding powerful institutions accountable.

Matt will fight to fully fund neighborhood public schools, preserve specialized services for students, lower childcare and healthcare costs, defend paid sick leave and collective bargaining, and protect reproductive freedom.

He will also work to ensure Missouri’s electoral districts fairly represent voters rather than serving the interests of one political party.

Tori Schafer for State House — District 99

Tori Schafer is an attorney and civil-liberties advocate who helped lead Missouri’s successful campaign to protect reproductive freedom.

With more than a decade of experience in legislation, advocacy, and statewide campaigns, Tori has argued before the Missouri Supreme Court and successfully challenged policies that threatened Missourians’ healthcare access and fundamental rights. Missouri Lawyers Media named her Lawyer of the Year for her work protecting reproductive freedom.

Tori is running to lower costs for working families, invest in public schools, expand healthcare access, defend civil liberties, protect the environment, and make government answer to voters rather than special interests.

Gina Mitten for Missouri State Senate District 4

Our Revolution is proud to endorse Gina Mitten for Missouri State Senate in Missouri’s 4th District.

Gina Mitten has spent her career standing up for working people, defending reproductive freedom, protecting public education, and fighting for accountable government. She understands what Missouri families are facing because she’s lived many of those same struggles—and she’s never stopped fighting to make government work for everyday people instead of powerful interests.

Growing up in University City before returning home to St. Louis, Gina balanced work, raising her family as a single parent, and continuing her education. She went on to serve on the Richmond Heights City Council and represented her community for eight years in the Missouri House, where she championed ethics reform, environmental protection, education, and government accountability.

Gina’s campaign is centered on the issues that matter most to working families.

She believes affordable, quality healthcare—including reproductive healthcare—is a basic human right. During her time in the legislature, she served on committees focused on Medicaid expansion, fought to increase access to mental health care and substance use treatment, opposed cuts that would threaten local hospitals, and consistently defended reproductive freedom. As she says, politicians should stay out of personal healthcare decisions.

Gina is also a lifelong advocate for workers’ rights. Drawing from her own experience as a single mother struggling to make ends meet, she has fought for paid sick leave, fair wages, workers’ compensation protections, unemployment benefits, and the right of workers to organize. She has pledged to stand against anti-worker legislation and continue fighting for dignity and fairness on the job.

She is equally committed to strengthening Missouri’s public schools. Gina supports robust investment in public education, defending teachers, expanding opportunities through dual enrollment, Advanced Placement courses, vocational training, and affordable higher education. Outside the legislature, she has coached her local high school’s Mock Trial team since 2019, helping lead students to a state championship in 2025.

Gina is also focused on keeping communities safe through investments in first responders, stronger community partnerships, and commonsense gun safety measures, including universal background checks and red flag laws.

At a time when Missouri families need leaders willing to fight for their rights instead of giving in to extremist politics, Gina Mitten is ready to deliver.
