Progressive Slate in Oregon

In addition to supporting Sen. Jeff Merkley’s re-election campaign, Our Revolution is proud to endorse a slate of bold progressives running for State House seats across Oregon — leaders ready to take on corporate power and deliver for working families.

Tammy Carpenter (HD-27) is a community advocate and organizer committed to fighting for economic justice, strong public services, and opportunities for working people to thrive. She’s running to ensure government works for everyday Oregonians — not corporate interests.

John “Waz” Wasielewski (HD-38) is a grassroots leader focused on building a more just and equitable economy. He’s organizing to uplift working families, strengthen labor protections, and challenge the influence of big money in politics.

Travis Nelson (HD-44) is a nurse, labor leader, and proven champion for healthcare justice. As the first Black LGBTQ+ member of the Oregon Legislature, he has been a powerful voice for workers, patients, and underserved communities — fighting for equitable access to care and stronger protections for working people.

David Osborne (HD-52) is running to bring people-powered leadership to Salem, with a focus on affordability, economic opportunity, and standing up to corporate greed. He’s committed to building an economy that works for all Oregonians.

Each of these candidates stands firmly with working families and has pledged to take on oligarchy and corporate power.

Our Revolution is proud to stand with this slate of leaders. When we organize, we win.

Jeff Merkley for re-election U.S. Senate

At a moment of deep crisis for our democracy and our country, Our Revolution is proud to endorse Senator Jeff Merkley for reelection to the United States Senate (Oregon).

It’s a recognition of something rare in Washington: a leader who not only shares our values, but has stood with our movement when it matters most — especially when it’s hardest.

A Clear Voice Against Endless War

As the threat of a wider conflict escalates, Merkley has been one of the strongest voices in Congress opposing an unauthorized and dangerous war with Iran.

On April 6th, speaking with grassroots organizers across the country on Our Revolution’s Organize to Win call, Merkley made clear what’s at stake:

“This war is reckless, unlawful, and already hitting Americans here at home.”

That’s not political hedging — it’s moral clarity.

While too many in Washington fall in line or stay silent, Merkley has consistently challenged the march toward war, reminding us that Congress — not the president — has the authority to decide matters of war and peace. He has warned that this path is not only unconstitutional, but dangerous for working families already struggling with rising costs tied to global instability.

At a time when the political establishment too often enables endless war, Jeff Merkley has chosen courage.

Defending Democracy and Voting Rights

Merkley has also been a steadfast champion for democracy itself — pushing back against attacks on voting rights and efforts to rig the system against working people.

On that same call, he spoke to the urgency of protecting the ballot:

“We have to defend every American’s right to vote and reject efforts like the SAVE Act that put up barriers instead of expanding democracy.”

That’s been the throughline of his career: expand democracy, don’t restrict it.

From fighting voter suppression to backing reforms that get big money out of politics, Merkley understands that political power should belong to the people — not billionaires or corporate interests.

A Proven Champion

Jeff Merkley’s record reflects the values our movement was built on:

  • Championing Medicare for All and lowering prescription drug costs
  • Leading the fight for bold climate action and a Green New Deal
  • Standing up to Wall Street and corporate monopolies
  • Advocating for student debt relief and affordable education
  • Opposing endless wars and unchecked executive power

And importantly, he hasn’t wavered when the pressure mounts.

Time and again, Merkley has taken the harder path — whether that’s opposing bad trade deals, challenging corporate influence, or standing up to leadership when they fall short.
