Angie Nixon for U.S. Senate in Florida
Our Revolution is proud to endorse Angie Nixon for the United States Senate in Florida.
Angie Nixon knows what it means when politicians talk about an economy that’s supposedly working while families are struggling just to keep up.
Born and raised in Jacksonville, Angie watched her mother work two jobs to provide for her family. Today, she’s a mother, union organizer, small business owner, and Florida State Representative who has built her career fighting for working people.
And she isn’t afraid to take on powerful interests.
A Fighter Who Has Already Delivered
In the Florida House, Angie has expanded childcare, taken on corporate price-gouging, and led the fight against DeSantis’ congressional redistricting effort. When Republicans pushed those maps forward, Angie participated in a sit-in at the governor’s office—and was later formally reprimanded by the Florida House for disrupting the redistricting vote.
That tells you something about the kind of leader Angie is.
When people’s rights are on the line, she fights.
Now she’s running for Senate because Floridians are being squeezed by an affordability crisis while billionaires, corporations, and political insiders wield enormous power over our government.
Angie wants to lower costs, raise wages, root corruption out of government, protect immigrants, and ensure seniors can retire with dignity. She supports Medicare for All and affordable, accessible childcare, and she wants to stop private equity firms from buying up single-family homes and driving housing further out of reach.
Taking on Corporate Greed
Angie understands that the affordability crisis isn’t happening by accident.
Her campaign puts corporate greed and concentrated wealth squarely at the center of the fight. She argues that hardworking Floridians are falling behind while corporations and billionaires rig the system in their favor—and that government should answer to teachers, nurses, parents, workers, and seniors instead.
That’s the kind of clarity we need in Washington.
Angie isn’t asking working people to settle for a government that occasionally throws them a lifeline. She wants to change who government works for.
And she knows how to organize to make that happen.
Before serving in the legislature, Angie worked as a union organizer with SEIU, and she continues to organize alongside working people. Her campaign is building a people-powered movement rooted in the belief that everyday Floridians—not billionaires and special interests—should shape the future of the state.
Sending a Working-Class Fighter to the Senate
Our Revolution believes we need more than another Democratic vote in the U.S. Senate.
We need progressive fighters.
We need senators who understand that lowering costs means confronting the corporations driving them up. Who will stand with workers trying to organize. Who will fight for healthcare as a right. Who recognize that defending democracy sometimes requires putting your own political comfort on the line.
Angie Nixon has already shown she’s willing to do that.
She’s taken on corporate price-gouging. She’s fought for expanded childcare. She stood up to DeSantis over voting maps. And she’s running for Senate with a simple conviction: Government should work for working families, not greedy billionaires.
That’s a fight Our Revolution knows well.
Our Revolution is proud to endorse Angie Nixon for U.S. Senate in Florida.
Let’s send a union organizer, working mom, and proven progressive fighter to the United States Senate.
When we organize, we win.
