A single parent, ordained pastor, & activist/community organizer, Cori is co director of the Truth Telling Project, founding member of Mobilize Missouri, an international presenter on nonviolent conflict, and worked as a Nonviolence 365 Ambassador with The King Center. Awarded the ‘2015 Woman of Courage’ Award -Emmett Till Legacy Foundation, ‘Power 100’ Award, ‘Top 50 Women of St. Louis’, Unsung Human Rights Shero, and honorary member of Veterans for Peace. Cori is a RN & works in community mental health as Director of Outpatient Services while supervising nursing services that services the homeless & uninsured. A Ferguson movement protest organizer, clergy, a medic, and a victim of police assault, Cori ran for the U.S. Senate in Missouri in 2016. She’s the co-founder of an emergency shelter, vice-chair of the MO Dem Party Progressive Caucus, & organizer of 2017 “Expect Us” protests. Ms. Bush hopes to become her district’s first congresswoman and her state’s first black congresswoman.
