Everton Blair for Congress in GA-13

This is a pivotal moment for Georgia’s 13th District, anc Our Revolution is proud to endorse Everton Blair for Congress in Georgia’s 13th District.

For decades, this district has been represented by the status quo. Now, voters have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to elect a new kind of leader — one rooted in the community and committed to bold, people-first change.

Everton Blair is that leader.

A Lifelong Educator and Community Leader

Born and raised in Gwinnett County, the son of Jamaican immigrants, Everton Blair is a proud product of Georgia public schools. After graduating from Harvard and Stanford, he returned home to teach math in the same district that raised him.

He went on to serve on the Gwinnett County School Board, where he was unanimously elected Board Chair — making history while delivering real results. Under his leadership, the district:

  • Raised pay for teachers, bus drivers, and school staff
  • Expanded student services and community engagement
  • Led a strong, science-based response to COVID-19
  • Helped build a more representative and inclusive school board

Everton has always believed that strong public schools are the foundation of strong communities — and his record proves it.

A Bold Progressive Agenda for Working Families

Everton Blair is running on the core priorities of the progressive movement:

“Government should work for the people, not for billionaires and corporations. That means fully-

funded public schools, safe road, quality climate-resilient infrastructure, affordable healthcare and housing,” he said. “That requires electing progressive leaders to Congress who will choose to invest in people over profit. We have a chance to do that right here in GA-13.”

  • Medicare for All — because healthcare is a human right
  • Good-paying jobs and a living wage — so every worker can thrive
  • Fully funded public schools — investing in the next generation
  • Affordable housing — cracking down on corporate landlords and predatory investors
  • Affordable childcare and strong public services
  • Getting big money out of politics

He is also a strong advocate for:

  • Workers’ rights and unions, including passing the PRO Act
  • Criminal justice reform that prioritizes fairness and rehabilitation
  • Climate action, ensuring clean air, water, and sustainable infrastructure
  • Expanding public transit to connect communities to opportunity

Everton understands that government must work for people — not corporations.

Taking on the Status Quo

This race is about more than one seat.

It’s about whether GA-13 will continue with politics as usual — or move forward with leadership that puts people over profit.

Everton is the only candidate in this race running on a bold, unapologetic progressive platform — and he’s doing it without bending to corporate interests.

He’s also committed to building the movement — working with grassroots organizations like Our Revolution to expand people-powered organizing and hold leaders accountable.

A Vision for Georgia’s Future

From the housing crisis to healthcare costs to economic inequality, Everton Blair is focused on delivering real solutions for working families.

He knows that too many communities — especially Black suburban communities — have been left behind by failed infrastructure and economic policy.

He’s fighting to change that:

  • Expanding transit and infrastructure investment
  • Connecting people to jobs and opportunity
  • Building an economy that works for everyone — not just the wealthy

This is leadership rooted in equity, justice, and real-world experience.

Now Is Our Time

Our Revolution believes that real change comes from grassroots power — and from electing leaders who will fight for it.

Everton Blair is ready to bring that fight to Congress.

We’re proud to stand with him.

Rep. Ruwa Romman for Georgia State Senate

Georgia’s working families are being squeezed by corporate landlords, poverty wages, and politicians who refuse to act.

That’s why Our Revolution is proud to endorse Representative Ruwa Romman for State Senate — a fearless progressive taking on corporate power and fighting for real solutions like a $15 minimum wage, healthcare access, and housing justice.

A Proven Progressive Fighter

Ruwa currently serves in the Georgia House representing District 97, where she has been a consistent voice for working people, public investment, and justice.

She made history as the first Muslim woman elected to the Georgia State House and the first Palestinian elected to public office in the state — but her leadership goes far beyond firsts.

For more than a decade, Ruwa has been organizing in Georgia — building coalitions, empowering communities, and fighting for a government that serves people, not corporations.

A Bold Agenda for Georgia Families

Ruwa Romman is running on a clear, unapologetic progressive platform that speaks directly to the challenges Georgians are facing:

  • Raise the minimum wage — Georgia’s $5.15 wage is unacceptable; it’s time for at least $15/hour
  • Take homes back from corporate landlords — closing tax loopholes and cracking down on predatory investors
  • Expand healthcare access — reopening hospitals and ensuring care for all
  • Feed hungry kids — investing so no child goes without food
  • Press pause on harmful data center expansion that strains communities without delivering real benefits

She also understands that real safety comes from investment — not punishment.

While the Republican majority continues to fund private prisons, Ruwa is fighting to:

  • End funding for private prisons
  • Invest in diversion and community-based safety
  • Close loopholes that allow forced prison labor

Investing in Public Good

Ruwa believes government should be a force for good — delivering for people, not corporations.

That means:

  • Fully funding public education, raising teacher pay, and reducing class sizes
  • Protecting workers’ rights, including the right to organize
  • Expanding public services that meet real community needs

She has also shown real courage — including being the only state-level official in 2023 to oppose Cop City.

Building Progressive Power in Georgia

This race is about more than one seat.

Winning will:

  • Strengthen Georgia’s growing Progressive Caucus
  • Help block harmful, corporate-backed legislation
  • Build on a powerful grassroots movement organizing across the state

Ruwa’s recent statewide campaign mobilized thousands — and now she’s bringing that energy to a race where it can deliver immediate results.

Now Is the Moment

Georgia is at a crossroads.

We can continue down a path shaped by corporate greed — or elect leaders who will fight for working families and invest in our future.

Ruwa Romman is that leader — and we’re proud to stand with her.

When we organize, we win. ✊
