State Races in Pennsylvania

State Races in Pennsylvania

In addition to congressional candidates Bob Brooks and Chris Rabb, Our Revolution is proud to endorse a strong slate of progressive leaders running for State House and State Senate seats across Pennsylvania — candidates ready to take on corporate power and deliver for working families.

In the State House, we’re proud to support Ce Gerlach (HD-22), Brittany Bloam (HD-45), and Ismail Smith-Wade-El (HD-49) — leaders committed to expanding opportunity, strengthening communities, and building an economy that works for everyone, not just the wealthy.

We’re also backing proven progressive champions Malcolm Kenyatta (HD-181) and Liz Fiedler (HD-184), who have been fearless voices for workers, economic justice, and bold reform in Harrisburg. They’ve consistently taken on corporate interests and fought to deliver real results for their communities.

And Sierra McNeil (HD-195) is stepping up to bring fresh, people-powered leadership — organizing to ensure that government is accountable to the people, not special interests.

At the state senate level, Lindsey Williams (SD-38) continues to be a powerful advocate for working families, championing labor rights, public education, and economic justice while standing up to corporate influence.

Together, this slate represents the strength and diversity of Pennsylvania’s progressive movement — leaders committed to fighting oligarchy, uplifting working people, and building a government that truly serves the many.

Bob Brooks for Congress in Pennsylvania’s 7th District

By ALL, Endorsement, PA

Bob Brooks for Congress in Pennsylvania’s 7th District

Our Revolution is proud to join Bernie Sanders in endorsing Bob Brooks for Congress in Pennsylvania’s 7th District — a working-class fighter who has spent his life serving his community and is ready to take that fight to Washington.

Bob Brooks isn’t a career politician. He’s a 20-year firefighter from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, who has put his life on the line to protect his neighbors. That experience matters. It means he understands — firsthand — the challenges working families face, from rising costs to underfunded public services to the need for good-paying union jobs.

Brooks is running to unseat a Republican incumbent and bring real representation to PA-07 — not for corporations or the wealthy few, but for the people who keep our communities running every day.

His campaign is rooted in the values that define our movement: economic justice, strong public services, and a government that works for working people. Like so many in the progressive movement, Brooks knows that the system is rigged in favor of big corporations and billionaires — and he’s ready to challenge that status quo.

That’s why leaders like Bernie Sanders have stepped up to support his campaign — recognizing that Bob represents the kind of authentic, working-class leadership our country needs more of.

At a time when working families are struggling with rising costs, stagnant wages, and a political system dominated by corporate interests, we need candidates who will stand up and fight — not just talk.

Bob Brooks is that kind of candidate.

Our Revolution is proud to stand with him and the grassroots movement behind his campaign. Together, we can flip this seat, strengthen the progressive movement in Congress, and build a government that truly serves the many, not the few.

When we organize, we win. ✊

Chris Rabb for Congress in Pennsylvania’s 3rd District

By ALL, Endorsement, PA

Our Revolution is proud to endorse State Representative Chris Rabb for Congress in Pennsylvania’s 3rd Congressional District — a bold, anti-establishment progressive with a proven record of fighting for working people and taking on corporate power.

For the past eight years, Chris has represented a majority-Black, mixed-income district in Philadelphia, serving nearly 70,000 constituents across four neighborhoods. In that time, he has built a reputation as a fearless advocate for economic justice, racial equity, and democratic reform — consistently standing up to corporate interests and right-wing extremism.

Chris is running on a bold progressive platform that reflects the values our movement fights for every day: Medicare for All, stronger workers’ rights, affordable housing, clean air and water, and ending U.S.-backed forever wars. He has also been a leading voice calling to abolish ICE, expand voting rights, and confront the growing threat of concentrated wealth to our democracy.

This is about more than policy — it’s about power.

Chris Rabb understands that our current political system too often serves billionaires and corporate lobbyists instead of everyday people. That’s why he’s committed to ending pay-to-play politics and building a government that answers to voters — not wealthy donors.

Pennsylvania’s 3rd District is the bluest congressional district in the country, and this is the first open primary in decades. That makes it a rare and critical opportunity to elect a true progressive champion and strengthen our movement in Congress.

At a moment when many are frustrated by the influence of big money in politics, Chris Rabb offers a clear alternative: a people-first vision rooted in community, justice, and democracy.

Our Revolution is proud to stand with Chris Rabb.

Together, we can organize, mobilize, and win — sending a bold progressive voice from Philadelphia to Washington.

When we organize, we win. ✊

Summer Lee for Reelection in PA-12

By ALL, Endorsement, PA

Our Revolution proudly endorses Summer Lee for reelection to Congress in Pennsylvania’s 12th District.

Summer Lee has been one of the boldest progressive voices in the U.S. House — fighting to end big money in politics, expand healthcare, protect workers, lead on climate justice, and defend voting rights. In Congress, she has stood up to corporate greed and entrenched power, refusing corporate PAC money and consistently putting working families first.

Summer is also a proud co-sponsor of the Defund the Oligarchs, Fund the People resolution, which calls for taxing extreme wealth, ending corporate giveaways, and reinvesting public dollars in healthcare, housing, education, and good jobs. At a time when billionaires and special interests are tightening their grip on Washington, Summer is helping lead the charge to cut off the pipelines that turn political power into private profit.

Before Congress, Summer made history in the Pennsylvania House as one of the first Black women ever elected to the state legislature. There, she fought for criminal justice reform, environmental protections, higher wages, and expanded healthcare access — building a reputation as a fearless advocate for communities too often ignored by the political establishment.

Our Revolution and Sen. Bernie Sanders have had Summer’s back from the very beginning. When corporate super PACs poured millions into trying to defeat her, it was grassroots organizing and small-dollar donors that powered her victory. That people-powered movement continues to define her leadership in Washington.

Summer Lee doesn’t just talk about change — she organizes for it, legislates for it, and fights for it every day. We are proud to stand with her once again as she continues the work of building a government that serves the many, not the billionaire few.

When we organize, we win.

In Pennsylvania, we know that power is often centralized in statehouses and local boards long before it reaches Congress. That’s why this slate matters. Each of these candidates brings:

  • A commitment to working-class interests over corporate money
  • A belief that democracy should be locally rooted
  • The courage to push policies like healthcare access, clean energy, and educational equity

Victory for Justice: Our Revolution Celebrates Larry Krasner’s Win

By ALL, Endorsement, PA

We’re proud to celebrate the re-election of Larry Krasner as Philadelphia’s District Attorney. The progressive hero secured his third Democratic primary win, winning over 60% of the vote and all but ensuring another four years of reform-focused leadership.

Why This Win Matters

Since taking office in 2018, Krasner has consistently used his position to pursue justice—not prosecution:

  • Fewer incarcerations, safer communities: Under his leadership, Philadelphia’s jail population has been slashed nearly in half, while crime rates continue to fall.
  • Prosecutorial reform in action: Krasner’s office has eliminated cash bail for many nonviolent offenses, dropped minor felony charges like marijuana possession, and aggressively prosecuted police misconduct.
  • Accountability through innovation: His DA’s office created a Conviction Integrity Unit that has exonerated dozens of innocent people. It also launched a unit to tackle quality-of-life issues—including prosecuting dumping of household waste and tires.

Standing Strong Against the Right-Wing Backlash

Krasner’s victory came despite targeted attacks from Republicans and former President Trump—and after surviving a failed impeachment attempt by state lawmakers.

His campaign drew strength from small-dollar donations and grassroots organizing. In his victory speech, Krasner proclaimed:

“They can come for Philly, but I’m not backing down.”

This Victory is a Win for Progressive Prosecution

While reform prosecutors in other cities have lost ground under conservative pressure, Krasner’s win—driven by strong support among Black voters and progressives—shows that people power still works. It’s a reminder that local organizing and community engagement can beat back authoritarian and punitive agendas.

What Comes Next?

Krasner will enter the general election unopposed—giving him the green light to keep building a more equitable, accountable justice system in Philadelphia.

This victory is a testament to all of us: when we organize, we win.

Congratulations, Larry Krasner. Keep leading the fight for real justice.
