A lifelong organizer, he has led grassroots efforts that bring people together for real change, from founding the Chicago Salon Club— hosting hundreds of community “salons” focused on housing, transit, and equity — to working as a policy analyst for the City of Chicago Department of Family and Support Services and as a statewide organizer with reproductive rights groups.
His campaign is grounded in listening to neighbors and building coalitions, not taking corporate PAC money.
Nick is running on a bold progressive platform that meets the urgency of this moment: building more affordable housing statewide, modernizing public transit for riders and workers, and ending the outsized influence of corporate money in politics so everyday people — not special interests — determine policy in Springfield.
