Our Work

Over multiple election cycles, Our Revolution members and volunteers are building power and electing more and more progressives at every level of government. Not only are we hitting the streets, we’re hitting the phones and investing in massive voter turnout operations in key races across the country.

Building a Progressive Congress

We’re in the battle against Big Money to DEFEND and GROW Progressive Power in 2024. Not only must we defeat Trump and the far right, but we’re organizing to re-elect champions like Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, while electing new progressive voices to Congress. Sen. Bernie Sanders is also running for re-election in Vermont!

A $100 MILLION effort is trying to unseat some of our best allies in the halls of power, but we know organized people beats organized money. Our movement beat the money to build the largest Congressional Progressive Caucus in history — adding 9 new members in 2022 alone.

Now, as our block of progressive power in Congress grows stronger, corporate and rightwing donors are ramping up their attacks. But, even as we defend the seats we’ve gained, Our Revolution is organizing for opportunities to elect even more progressives to Congress and beyond.

Building Local Power

Bernie Sanders founded Our Revolution in 2016 with the mission to build power from the bottom on up. Since then, our grassroots army and voter mobilization machine have helped elect more than 1,000 progressives up and down the ballot.

What makes Our Revolution stand apart is our commitment to the local races that often get ignored, but which create the infrastructure of power at the level of government closest to people’s lives. We are building out progressive cities in places like Pittsburgh, Chicago, and even smaller towns like Hilliard, Ohio.

For example, in St. Louis, Our Revolution candidates took a supermajority in the city and are now advancing housing justice and worker rights. With OR Board Member Megan Green at the helm of the city board of alderman, this is our inside-outside strategy in action.
