Earlier this year, Avelo Airlines quietly signed on to fly deportation flights for ICE — turning our airports into launchpads for tearing families apart.

But thanks to public outcry and grassroots action, the pressure is already working. In Burbank, California, Our Revolution members joined local activists to push Avelo to shut down its base. That victory sent a clear message: communities won’t tolerate corporations profiting from cruelty.

Now we’re taking the fight to Maryland and Maine.

Why We’re Targeting BWI and Portland Jetport

  • BWI Airport in Maryland is owned by the state — meaning the governor and transportation officials have the power to decide which airlines use public resources.
  • Portland International Jetport in Maine falls under city jurisdiction — and local leaders can reject contracts with airlines complicit in ICE’s deportation machine.

Both states have a choice:
Stand with immigrant families and refuse to do business with an airline ripping families apart — or turn a blind eye while our tax dollars bankroll Trump’s deportation machine.

How We Win

In Burbank, grassroots protests, billboards, and boycotts made it impossible for Avelo to ignore public opposition. Now we’re ready to do it again — and again — until no airline wants its brand tied to ICE’s cruelty.

We know this works. We’ve seen it. But we need a wave of public pressure to force decision‑makers in Maryland and Maine to act.

Add your name to demand state and local officials cut ties with Avelo — and any airline — that runs deportation flights for ICE. Together, we can shut down the deportation pipeline.
