Jocelyn “Joz” Sida for Mayor of Fontana

Our Revolution is proud to endorse Jocelyn “Joz” Sida for Mayor of Fontana — a longtime grassroots organizer and environmental justice leader running to put working families ahead of corporate interests at City Hall.

Joz has called Fontana home since she was 14. A proud daughter of immigrants, she has spent more than 15 years organizing for equity, justice, and opportunity — from neighborhoods in the Inland Empire to campaigns across the country.

Her organizing résumé runs deep. Joz has served as the first-ever Chapter Director of the Sierra Club San Gorgonio Chapter, National Field Director for Progressive Turnout Project and Corazón Latino, State Director for Mi Familia Vota in Nevada, and a National Campaigner with MoveOn.

Now, she’s bringing that experience home — with a campaign focused on shifting power back to the people of Fontana.

Clean Air Over Corporate Profits

At the center of Joz’s campaign is a fight that Fontana families know firsthand: the explosive growth of warehouses and truck traffic.

Joz is calling for a halt to warehouse expansion and pledging to push back against increased truck traffic and the air pollution that comes with it.

Her message is simple: clean air is a right, not a luxury.

Instead of building an economy around warehouses and corporations extracting wealth from the community, Joz wants Fontana to invest in small businesses, street vendors, local entrepreneurs, good jobs, and fair wages — keeping more prosperity in the community.

A Fontana Working Families Can Afford

Joz is also taking on the housing crisis.

She supports rent protections, genuinely affordable housing, and development that strengthens neighborhoods without displacing the people who already live there.

For Joz, these fights are connected. A thriving Fontana means families can afford to stay in their communities, breathe clean air, find good jobs, and count on the basic public services they deserve.

That includes clean parks and safe streets, stronger support for seniors, and more opportunities for young people. Joz wants to expand youth programs, after-school support, and leadership development so Fontana’s next generation has real pathways to thrive.

Taking On the Insider Game

Joz is also running on changing how City Hall itself works.

Her platform calls for transparent leadership, honest communication, and greater respect for public input, with residents having a meaningful voice in the decisions shaping their neighborhoods.

She is also pledging to stand up for Fontana’s immigrant families, so residents can take their children to school, access city services, and participate in their communities without fear, regardless of immigration status.

From environmental justice and affordable housing to immigrant rights and government accountability, Joz Sida is offering a people-centered vision for Fontana’s future.

She has spent her career organizing communities and building coalitions to challenge entrenched power. Now, she’s bringing that fight home.

Our Revolution is proud to endorse Jocelyn “Joz” Sida for Mayor of Fontana.

It’s time to put clean air over warehouse profits, affordable housing over developer handouts, and the people of Fontana at the center of City Hall.

When we organize, we win.
