Progressives Building Local Power Across California
Our Revolution is proud to endorse a new slate of candidates fighting to build people-powered government from the ground up across California.
From county government and city councils to school boards and the local agencies that manage essential public resources, these races are where decisions that directly shape people’s lives get made. And they’re exactly where our movement needs strong, accountable leaders ready to put working people and their communities first.
Flo Cofer — Sacramento County Supervisor, District 1
Our Revolution is excited to endorse Dr. Flojaune “Flo” Cofer for Sacramento County Supervisor, District 1.
Flo is an epidemiologist, policy leader, and longtime community advocate running to bring bold, people-centered leadership to county government. Her campaign is 100% corporate-free, rejecting contributions from corporate PACs, law-enforcement unions, real-estate interests, and the fossil-fuel industry.
Her platform brings together economic, housing, health, labor, and climate justice under three powerful priorities: Protect Our People. Keep People Housed. Green Jobs, Good Pay.
Flo is fighting to prevent evictions and displacement, expand affordable and supportive housing, strengthen behavioral health care, protect immigrant communities, defend workers’ right to organize, and create union jobs through a just transition to clean energy. She supports CalCare single-payer healthcare, a local public banking strategy, stronger protections against privatization, and participatory budgeting that gives residents a greater voice in how public dollars are spent.
She’s also calling for a halt to the unchecked expansion of AI data centers unless strong protections are in place for workers, water, energy, the environment, and surrounding communities.
Flo understands that county government shouldn’t simply manage crises — it should solve problems, protect people, and create the conditions for everyone to thrive.
Marisol Rubio — San Ramon City Council, District 4
Our Revolution is proud to endorse Marisol Rubio for San Ramon City Council, District 4.
Local government has enormous power over the affordability, sustainability, and quality of life of our communities. Marisol represents the kind of people-powered leadership our movement is working to strengthen in cities across California.
We’re proud to stand with her as she fights to keep District 4 moving forward and ensure working people have a strong voice in San Ramon City Hall.
Conan Moats — Diablo Water District, Ward 2
Our Revolution is proud to endorse Conan Moats for Diablo Water District, Ward 2.
Water is a public resource — and the people making decisions about its future matter.
As corporations and major new developments place growing demands on California’s water and infrastructure, communities deserve leaders who will put residents and responsible stewardship at the center of those decisions.
That’s why we’re proud to support Conan and the fight for accountable, community-centered leadership at the Diablo Water District.
Brandon Dawkins — Antioch Unified School District Board, Trustee Area 5
Our Revolution is proud to endorse Brandon Dawkins for Antioch Unified School District Board, Trustee Area 5.
Strong public schools are the foundation of strong communities, and school-board elections are a critical part of building progressive power from the bottom up.
Brandon is running under a simple but important vision: “Whole Student, Whole Community.”
We’re proud to stand with Brandon and his campaign to bring a community-centered voice to the Antioch school board.
Building Progressive Power From the Ground Up
These may be local races, but their impact is anything but small.
For ten years, Our Revolution has worked to build a progressive pipeline from the grassroots up — supporting movement leaders who are ready to serve their communities, challenge entrenched power, and make government work for working people.
That’s how lasting political change happens: school board by school board, city council by city council, county by county.
This November, let’s keep building that power across California.
When we organize, we win.
