The Blue Tsunami that crushed the GOP Tuesday night — powered by a Progressive Earthquake. Our movement brought the grassroots energy and the bold agenda that mobilized millions of voters to repudiate Trump and MAGA once and for all.
This cycle, Our Revolution made over 5 MILLION voter contacts to elect over 142 PROGRESSIVE CHAMPIONS at every level of government! We took back the House and Senate, flipped a TON of red seats with economic populists, and elected a new generation of progressive state and city officials.
THANK YOU to all our organizers, volunteers, and grassroots donors who helped us prove once again that deep organizing can beat Big Money.
For a decade, the establishment told us that Progressives couldn't win in swing states, couldn't win in red districts, and couldn't build a governing majority.
Well, look at the map now.
All the work we did to win a progressive wave in the primaries set the stage for this historic general election victory. We built the bench, expanded the map, and proved that bold working-class politics can win.
As Our Revolution Executive Director Joseph Geevarghese told Common Dreams: "The blue wave was powered by a progressive wave. We are the center of gravity in this party, and we intend to drive the agenda."
But with this new power comes enormous responsibility. The grassroots led this victory. Now the grassroots must lead the Democratic Party in a new progressive direction. Now it’s time to deliver.

SENATE SHOCKWAVES: A NEW ERA OF PROGRESSIVE POWER
TEXAS. MAINE. MICHIGAN. Three states. Three extraordinary Senate victories. And three powerful examples of what happens when Our Revolution’s grassroots organizing meets bold progressive leadership.
TROY JACKSON — MAINE
When the political establishment tried to control the process of replacing Graham Platner, Our Revolution helped ensure the new Senate candidate was an Our Revolution-backed candidate.
We mobilized hundreds of our members to show up at county Democratic caucus meetings and helped nominate Troy Jackson, a former logger, union leader, and working-class champion who knows what it's like to take on powerful interests.
Then we went all in — mobilizing 300,000 calls, texts, and emails to help Troy defeat longtime Republican Sen. Susan Collins!

ABDUL EL-SAYED — MICHIGAN
Our organizing work is sending a doctor, public health champion, and unapologetic fighter for Medicare for All to the U.S. Senate!
Our Revolution backed Abdul El-Sayed through his primary and mobilized all the way through Election Night, making over 330,000 voter contacts to help deliver this historic victory in a critical swing state.
His message was simple and powerful: Money out of politics. Money in your pocket. Medicare for All. Because of our organizing, our movement sent Washington the same message about the kind of change we're demanding.

TEXAS TURNED BLUE!
Our Revolution first backed James Talarico in 2018 when he first ran for State Rep. as part of our work to build a progressive candidate pipeline in the Lone Star State. This year, we supported him again as he delivered a stunning 12-POINT Senate victory in Texas, changing the landscape of what's politically possible!
This wasn't just a Senate flip. It was a breakthrough for our progressive movement in a state where Our Revolution’s grassroots organizers have been in the trenches to build power for over a decade.
And as you'll see below, the Texas story didn't stop at the top of the ticket!

A NEW PROGRESSIVE POWER BLOC IS HEADED TO CONGRESS!
In addition to building power in the Senate, we're adding DOZENS of new progressive leaders to the U.S. House — and the establishment's tired electability argument is crumbling before our eyes.
Our Revolution candidates did not run away from progressive values - they embodied them. They are organizers, union champions, and young working-class fighters who ran on making life better for ordinary working people - including Melat Kiros (CO-1), Claire Valdez (NY-7), and Darializa Avila Chevalier (NY-13).
Many came up through the progressive candidate pipeline Our Revolution has spent a decade building, including Aisha Wahab (CA-14) and Chris Rabb (PA-3).
Our Revolution has been organizing with Aisha for years - helping her win races from Hayward City Council to the California State Senate, and now to Congress. In this cycle, Our Revolution mobilized 300,000 voter contacts to help Aisha beat back millions in AIPAC spending against her.
Our Revolution also has a long history with Chris Rabb - we endorsed him when he first ran for PA State Rep in 2016, supported him as he passed ground-breaking state legislation, and this year organized to help him win a seat in Congress representing Philadelphia.
Examples like Aisha and Chris prove that Our Revolution’s goal of investing in long-term progressive political infrastructure pays off!

🚨 WE FLIPPED RED SEATS PROGRESSIVE BLUE!
In race after race, Our Revolution proved that organizing the grassroots around a bold progressive agenda can WIN IN MAGA TERRITORY! Here’s a few examples:
In the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, Our Revolution made over 59,000 voter contacts to help Katy Padilla Stout (TX 23) pull off an extraordinary flip to replace disgraced GOP Rep. Tony Gonzales after being largely overlooked by the Democratic establishment.
In California’s Central Valley, Our Phonebank Team made over 5000 calls to help Randy Villegas (CA-22) trounce GOP incumbent David Valadao.
And in Michigan, we made 63,000 voter contacts to help Will Lawrence, a former Sunrise Movement cofounder, defeat GOP incumbent Tom Barrett.
We also helped several working class champions defeat MAGA candidates, including Bob Brooks (Pennsylvania), a union firefighter, Brian Poindexter (Ohio), union ironworker, and Sam Forstag (Montana), a former wildland firefighter
Our movement is expanding the map to MAGA territory and demonstrating that working-class politics reach voters everywhere.

STATE POWER: THE PROGRESSIVE WAVE GOES DEEPER!
The progressive earthquake didn't stop in Washington.
Our Revolution’s deep grassroots organizing also won key state-level races across America, including:
TEXAS: Our Revolution made over 244,000 voter contacts for State Rep. Vikki Goodwin, who defeated rightwing incumbent Dan Patrick for Lt. Governor. And, we supported former Our Revolution organizer Clayton Tucker in his bid for TX Agriculture Commissioner — following in the footsteps of Our Revolution Board member and populist rabblerouser Jim Hightower!
MISSOURI: Our Revolution reached over 155,000 voters to elect a Progressive Slate of 16 State House and Senate candidates to break the Republican supermajority in the state legislature!
MICHIGAN: We mobilized thousands of voters to elect Eli Savit, a previously Our Revolution-endorsed County Prosecutor, as the state’s next Attorney General.
MINNESOTA: Our Revolution supported Attorney General Keith Ellison in his race to win reelection, continuing his work on consumer protection and corporate accountability.
VERMONT: We helped Molly Gray flip the lieutenant governor's office blue, adding another progressive victory to the national wave!
These victories are strategic for Our Revolution because so much of the fight for affordable housing, workers' rights, environmental protection, and corporate accountability happens at the state level.

FROM CITY HALL TO CAPITOL HILL: A NEW GENERATION RISES
Some of the most exciting breakthroughs came in America's cities, where Our Revolution activists on the ground are helping a new generation of progressive leaders step into power.
Our Revolution’s grassroots organizing continues to add to the ranks of new progressive mayors like NYC’s Zohran Mamdani, including victories by David Morales in Providence, RI, democratic socialist Janeese Lewis George in DC, and former city councilwoman Nithya Raman in Los Angeles!
Our local victories are putting progressive leaders in the role of CEO of our cities, giving us a testing ground to prove that progressive policies work to improve people’s lives at the level of government closest to them.

BALLOT MEASURES: TAKING ON BIG MONEY AND DEFENDING WORKERS
Some of the most consequential victories weren't for candidates at all. They were grassroots-driven ballot initiatives for structural reforms that can reshape our democracy.
MICHIGAN: GET BIG MONEY OUT OF POLITICS!
Our Revolution backed Michigan’s winning campaign-finance reform measure which restricts certain political contributions from regulated utilities and large government contractors while expanding disclosure requirements.
This is the template Our Revolution wants to take state by state — challenging dark and corporate money and making elections more accountable to the people.
VERMONT: WORKERS' RIGHTS IN THE CONSTITUTION!
Our Revolution helped pass Vermont’s Proposal 3, which enshrines the right of employees to organize and join unions for collective bargaining in the state constitution!
It's a significant victory for organized labor and an example of how voters can establish protections that extend beyond any single election cycle.

CORRUPTION IN THE CROSSHAIRS
One of the biggest stories of this election? Corruption became a kitchen-table issue.
The Iran War, the Epstein Files, corporate greed, sky high prices, Trump’s family cashing in on crypto schemes, big money trying to buy our elections — it’s all tied together by CORRUPTION.
As Our Revolution leader Joseph Geevarghese told Huffington Post: "People see the quid pro quo in action. They see donors lining up to get returns on their investments, while they feel the economic strain themselves — and it disgusts the electorate.
Affordability and accountability aren't separate fights. They're two sides of the same coin.
That's why Our Revolution is doubling down on the fight to get big money out of politics, uproot corruption, take on corporate greed, and make government work for the people who actually keep this country running.
The election sent an unmistakable message. Now Congress has to answer it.

WE BEAT BIG MONEY!
This was the most expensive midterm in history. More than $5 BILLION was flushed down the drain trying to elect Republicans.
Elon Musk alone poured nearly HALF A BILLION DOLLARS into the election — but it didn’t stop the progressive wave!
Millions of Americans organized, volunteered, knocked doors, made calls, sent texts, and turned out to vote. And Our Revolution exceeded our 5 MILLION voter contact goal and engaged more than 50,000 activists.
