THE BATTLE FOR THE MIDTERMS IS ON!
We are at an inflection point in American history — and the future hinges on these Midterms.
On Monday, thousands of Our Revolution activists joined us for our 2026 Battle for the Midterms Kickoff, as we fired up our grassroots operation for the final stretch to Election Day.
The opportunity in front of us is enormous: flip the House and Senate, elect a record number of progressives, and fundamentally change the balance of power in Washington.
After a decade of building progressive power from the ground up, Our Revolution Executive Director Joseph Geevarghese is rallying our movement to put our organizing into action:

FLIP CONGRESS — WITH 22 NEW HOUSE PROGRESSIVES!
Remember what a game changer it was to elect the Squad and grow it? Well now we could send a massive wave of 22 NEW progressives to the House.
Rep. Greg Casar, Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, joined us to talk about what it would mean to dramatically grow our ranks in the House — and use that power to deliver for working people.
“We have to flip the House, flip the Senate, but flip it with people who actually want to fight the corporate interests that have been screwing us over for far too long and make sure we have a Democratic Party that is pro-worker and anti-billionaire.”
He laid out the dynamics of key House races like firefighter Sam Forstag in the red state of Montana, union teacher Randy Villegas in a red district in California, and other working class fighters ready to take seats in November.

THE BATTLE FOR THE SENATE

On Monday, we heard from two of these great candidates ready to shake up Washington: Angie Nixon in Florida and Troy Jackson in Maine.
Angie won the primary after being outspent by the establishment Democrat 16 to 1! Now she’s mobilizing the grassroots to take on the Florida Republican machine.
“Before I became a state rep, before I became a lawmaker, before I became the Democratic nominee for United States Senate, I was an organizer.”
And she summed up the strategy behind her campaign in one powerful line: “Organized people will beat big money each and every day of the week. We just got to get the people organized.”
In Maine, Troy Jackson told us he’s seeing an extraordinary level of grassroots energy as his campaign heads into the final stretch against GOP Senator Susan Collins.
“Since 30 years ago, I’ve been waiting for the day that everyday working-class people can rise up… Right now, people are showing up like crazy.”

PEOPLE POWER CAN BEAT BIG MONEY
Newly elected Rep. Aisha Wahab knows firsthand what it means to go up against massive outside spending — and win.
After facing millions of dollars in the special election, Aisha told us the answer isn't trying to match Big Money dollar for dollar. It's about connecting directly with voters at the doors, on the phones, and delivering a clear contrast to the opposition.
“Our Revolution was with us here on the ground. Real people telling neighbors why they’re voting, what they care about, what they want to see done — that’s really the biggest part of our campaign and how we were able to push back.”

BUILDING LOCAL POWER IN A RED STATE
Our Revolution Board Chair Megan Green joined us to show what building progressive power from the ground up can accomplish — even in a red state.
Megan serves as President of the St. Louis Board of Alders, and together we’re developing the next generation of leaders.
“We’ve been able to build a progressive majority here in the city of St. Louis — in the middle of a red state. And now we’re taking that organizing and building power at the state level.”
That's the progressive pipeline we've spent a decade building: organizers become candidates, win locally, govern, and build upward and outward.
Campaigns come and go. Our movement marches ahead.

10 YEARS IN THE FIGHT — AND JUST GETTING STARTED
Few people have been closer to this movement than Nina Turner — former president of Our Revolution and Bernie Sanders' 2020 national co-chair.
As we celebrate 10 years since Bernie founded Our Revolution, Nina reflected on how far we've come — and the sustained organizing that made it possible.
“Ten years is a big deal. We should celebrate what Our Revolution has been able to accomplish — but understand that we have so much more work to do.”
That's the lesson of our first decade. Political power isn't built in one election. It's built by organizing year after year, developing leaders and creating a movement that doesn't disappear when Election Day is over.
Nina's prescription for the next decade? “Organize, organize, organize.” Ten years down. And we're just getting started.

RIGHT NOW: FINISH THE FIGHT TO BAN DARK MONEY
Winning elections is only one part of building power. For 10 years, Our Revolution has also been organizing inside the Democratic Party to change the rules themselves.
Last year, that inside/outside strategy delivered a major victory: after sustained grassroots pressure, the DNC passed a resolution to ban dark and corporate money from the 2028 presidential primary process.
Now comes the real test: making sure it actually happens.
Our Revolution Founding Chair and DNC member Larry Cohen joined us to lay out the urgency of the next two weeks as we push the DNC to put forward the implementation plan:
“Our primaries should belong to the voters in the Democratic Party — working-class people, Black, brown and white — not to the billionaires and not to the corporations.”
