Justin J. Pearson for Congress in Tennessee’s 9th District

Our Revolution is proud to endorse Justin J. Pearson for Congress in Tennessee’s 9th District — a bold fighter for racial justice on the frontlines of the struggle for democracy and working people in the South.

Before entering elected office, Pearson organized his neighbors to stop the toxic Byhalia Pipeline from being built through a Black working-class community in Southwest Memphis — a major grassroots victory against environmental racism and corporate pollution.

Then, after leading protests demanding gun reform following a school shooting in Nashville, Tennessee Republicans expelled him from the State House for standing up to the NRA and refusing to stay silent.

Voters sent him right back.

That spirit of organizing and resistance defines Justin Pearson’s campaign for Congress.

And now he’s taking on an even bigger fight.

Following the Supreme Court’s recent ruling on the Voting Rights Act, Tennessee Republicans rushed through a gerrymandering plan to redistrict the state’s majority-Black congressional district, which had been based in Memphis. Pearson has emerged as one of the loudest voices fighting back — both politically and legally — while organizing directly within his community.

Pearson had already been hard at work building a serious grassroots challenge against longtime incumbent Rep. Steve Cohen, an AIPAC-backed Democrat who consistently sided with corporate interests and supported blank checks for war abroad. Before Republicans redrew the district, Pearson’s insurgent campaign had gained major momentum and exposed growing hunger for a new kind of leadership in Memphis.

Now the race has shifted again, with Cohen dropping out and MAGA Republicans State Senator Brent Taylor and State Representative Todd Warner jumping in. But Pearson knows the path forward is organizing — especially among Black voters, young people, and working-class communities – to spread his message throughout this new 200-mile district that sprawls from the southwest corner of the state, all the way to the Nashville suburbs.

 

And his campaign is centered on exactly the issues working people are demanding action on:

  • Affordability
  • Gun reform
  • Environmental racism
  • Protecting democracy
  • Expanding opportunity

Pearson has also become a leading voice challenging Elon Musk’s xAI data center project in his district and warning about the intersection of corporate greed, environmental injustice, and political corruption.

At a moment when too many Democrats play it safe, Justin Pearson represents something different: movement politics rooted in courage, grassroots organizing, and a willingness to directly confront entrenched power.

Our Revolution is proud to endorse Iris Halpern in House District 6, Junie Joseph in House District 10, Steph Vigil in House District 16, and Kenny Van Nguyen in House District 33.

Iris Halpern — House District 6

Iris Halpern has spent her career taking on powerful institutions — and now she’s ready to bring that fight to the State Capitol.

A civil and workers’ rights attorney, Iris previously worked as a national organizer for SEIU and served as an Acting Supervisory Attorney at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in Denver. Her legal career has included fighting for workers facing wage theft, victims of workplace harassment and discrimination, transgender employees, immigrant workers, teachers and librarians fighting book bans, and others whose rights have been violated.

Now, Iris is running to take that same fighting spirit to the Colorado House.

Her campaign is calling for bold action on Colorado’s housing crisis, affordable healthcare, stronger public schools, workers’ rights, environmental justice, bodily autonomy, immigrant protections, and civil liberties. She also wants to tackle the concentration of economic and political power by challenging Colorado’s regressive tax structure and limiting the influence of dark money and wealthy donors in elections.

At a moment when fundamental rights are under attack, Iris is running to make Colorado a model for what it looks like to fight back — and put ordinary people ahead of corporate greed and billionaire influence.

Junie Joseph — House District 10

Junie Joseph brings a global commitment to human rights and a deeply local commitment to the people of Boulder.

Before entering the Colorado Legislature, Junie worked with the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva and USAID in Côte d’Ivoire. She went on to serve on the Boulder City Council and as Mayor Pro Tem before becoming the State Representative for House District 10.

Her guiding philosophy is simple: everybody wins when everybody wins.

In the Legislature, Junie has worked on climate resilience, community safety, housing, education, and other issues affecting working families. She is an outspoken supporter of collective bargaining, arguing that workers must have the ability to organize, strike, and bargain for better conditions. She also strongly supports reproductive freedom and believes abortion access should not depend on a person’s income.

From fighting climate change and addressing Colorado’s housing crisis to defending reproductive rights and strengthening worker power, Junie is proving that progressive government can deliver tangible results while making sure nobody gets left behind.

Steph Vigil — House District 16

Steph Vigil knows the struggles facing working people because she has lived them.

Steph has experienced housing and transportation insecurity and describes herself as someone who came to public service not from the political class, but with working-class grit and firsthand knowledge of what happens when people are left behind by the status quo.

She turned those experiences into action.

When Steph previously represented House District 16, she put working families at the center of her work, took on corporate lobbyists, and helped pass legislation strengthening worker protections while advancing more affordable housing, better transportation, and environmental protections.

Now she’s fighting to return to the State House.

Steph believes working people create our economy’s wealth and deserve a government that works for them — not just wealthy elites. She supports stronger worker protections, reproductive freedom, LGBTQ+ rights, voting rights, due process, expanded transportation choices, and a just transition to renewable energy.

Steph’s campaign is about turning struggle into solidarity — and building a government that gives every Coloradan a real foundation to thrive.

Kenny Van Nguyen — House District 33

Kenny Van Nguyen represents a new generation of Colorado leadership rooted in community and public service.

Born and raised in Colorado to Vietnamese refugees, Kenny was the first in his family to graduate from college and later earned a Master of Public Administration from the University of Colorado Denver.

His path into politics began with service. Kenny worked with young people in underserved communities through AmeriCorps and the “I Have a Dream” Foundation, became a community organizer, spent more than five years working for Colorado Lieutenant Governor Dianne Primavera, and was elected to the Broomfield City Council.

In January 2026, Kenny was appointed to represent House District 33 in the Colorado Legislature.

Now he’s fighting to continue that work — with a focus on protecting vulnerable Coloradans, tackling soaring housing costs, strengthening infrastructure, and expanding public transportation.

Kenny has pledged to be an advocate for long-promised passenger rail in the Northwest Corridor and is pushing for more affordable housing options so working families can continue to live and thrive in their communities.

For Kenny, representation is personal. As the son of refugees and the first in his family to earn a college degree, he understands the difference opportunity can make — and he’s determined to make sure Colorado remains a place where everyone has the chance to build a future.

At a moment when authoritarian politics, billionaire influence, and anti-immigrant attacks are intensifying across the country, we need leaders who won’t back down under pressure.

Our Revolution is proud to endorse Adelita Grijalva for Congress in AZ-07 — a lifelong organizer, education advocate, and progressive leader fighting for Southern Arizona families and immigrant communities.

We were proud to back Adelita in her campaign last year, and we’re proud to stand with her again as she runs for a full term in Congress representing Arizona’s 7th District.

Adelita stepped up to run after the passing of her father, longtime progressive champion Rep. Raúl Grijalva, who spent decades fighting for labor rights, environmental justice, immigrant communities, Indigenous sovereignty, and progressive change in Congress. 

But Adelita isn’t simply carrying forward a legacy — she’s built one of her own.

Before being elected to Congress in 2025, Adelita served for years on the Tucson Unified School District Governing Board and later on the Pima County Board of Supervisors, where she focused on public education, affordable housing, environmental protection, and expanding opportunity for working families.

After winning this seat last year, House Republicans delayed swearing her into office for weeks during a government shutdown standoff — a move widely criticized by Democrats and voting rights advocates. 

Adelita currently faces Republican Daniel Butierez, a repeat GOP challenger backed by conservative interests. 

And while massive outside spending transformed last year’s Arizona special election into a national battleground, Adelita continued building a grassroots coalition powered by labor, progressives, Latino communities, young voters, and movement organizations.

Kentucky has a chance to do something historic.

At a moment when working families are being crushed by rising costs, corporate greed, and a political system rigged for billionaires, Our Revolution is proud to endorse Charles Booker for U.S. Senate.

Charles Booker isn’t running a cautious campaign designed to please political consultants. He’s building a bold, multiracial working-class movement across Kentucky — “from the hood to the holler” — rooted in economic justice, healthcare for all, and real democracy.

And the stakes couldn’t be higher.

Flipping this Senate seat blue could help determine control of the U.S. Senate in 2026. But this race is about more than partisan control — it’s about whether Democrats will finally fight unapologetically for working people instead of continuing to cater to corporate interests.

At a moment when Democrats are searching for a path forward, Greg Casar is helping lead the fight to rebuild the party around working people.

That’s why Our Revolution is proud to endorse Greg Casar for re-election to Congress and as Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus.

A former labor organizer and Austin City Council member, Casar has quickly emerged as one of the strongest progressive voices in Washington — pushing Democrats to confront corporate power, lower costs for working families, and reject politics driven by billionaire donors.

As chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, Greg is helping shape a new economic message centered on affordability, wages, healthcare, and taking on oligarchic power. Under his leadership, the CPC recently launched a sweeping new affordability agenda focused on lowering prescription drug prices, reducing childcare and utility costs, cracking down on corporate price gouging, and putting money back in people’s pockets. 

A Fighter for Working People

Greg Casar has built his career fighting for workers, immigrants, and communities too often ignored by the political establishment.

The proud son of Mexican immigrants, Casar first gained national attention in Texas politics as a labor-backed organizer and progressive city councilmember willing to take on corporate interests and Republican extremism head-on. 

In Congress, he has become a leading advocate for:

  • Raising wages and strengthening unions
  • Medicare for All
  • Taking on corporate monopolies and billionaire greed
  • Defending voting rights and civil rights
  • Climate action and environmental justice

And unlike too many politicians in Washington, Greg has consistently argued that Democrats must stop running away from economic populism and start directly confronting the corporations and billionaires rigging the economy against working people. 

Leading the Progressive Movement in Congress

Greg’s rise to chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus marks a major moment for the movement.

He became the first CPC chair from a red state — proof that bold progressive politics can resonate far beyond traditional Democratic strongholds. 

And he’s using that platform to organize Democrats around a clear vision: a party that fights unapologetically for working people against corporate greed.

From touring red districts alongside Bernie Sanders on the “Fighting Oligarchy” tour to pushing Democrats to focus relentlessly on affordability and economic justice, Casar has become one of the clearest national voices for a new generation of progressive leadership. 

The Stakes in This Race

Greg’s re-election campaign comes amid aggressive Republican-led redistricting efforts in Texas designed to weaken Democratic power and reshape the political map. 

But Casar has continued organizing through the attacks — building a strong grassroots campaign and consolidating broad support across Austin-area progressives, labor allies, and movement leaders. 

This race is about more than one congressional seat.

While we’ve never endorsed a billionaire before, Tom Steyer is running to deliver on our top progressive priorities — including Medicare for All, taxing extreme wealth, and taking on ICE and utility monopolies — with a focus on making California affordable for working people.

He has been a partner to the movement, investing in climate advocacy and grassroots organizing while taking on corporate power. On the call, Janeese Lewis George talked about her run for Mayor of Washington, D.C. and what it will mean to lead the nation’s capital while Trump occupies the city.

As a DC Council member and proud democratic socialist, Janeese has built her career by fighting for universal childcare, social housing, labor protections, and making the city affordable — in a race where corporate developers and establishment forces are lining up against her.

As Janeese told our members, “If we want to protect our communities, we need leadership that won’t back down — even when the pressure is coming straight from the White House.”

Eric Jones talked on the organizing call Monday about his campaign for Congress in CA-04 — and why it’s time to challenge decades of status quo leadership.

Running in Napa Valley against a 27-year Democratic incumbent, Eric is stepping up to take on corporate power and deliver real results for working families.

An entrepreneur and nonprofit founder, he’s focused on cutting everyday costs, expanding affordable childcare and elder care, and putting money back in people’s pockets — while holding corporations like PG&E accountable and pushing for stronger wildfire prevention.

As Eric told our members, “This district deserves leadership that’s willing to take on corruption and fight for working people — not protect the system that’s failing them.”

On the call, we were also proud to endorse Matt Dunlap for Congress in Maine’s 2nd District.

A former Secretary of State and Bernie 2016 co-chair, Matt has spent decades defending voting rights — including taking on Trump’s voter suppression commission — and fighting for real economic justice.

But as Matt shared with our members, even after his opponent (Jared Golden, the most conservative Democrat in Congress) stepped aside, Hakeem Jeffries and the DCCC rushed to endorse another candidate rather than support a proven progressive.

That’s fine — Matt is building a powerful grassroots campaign and leading the polls with our movement at his back.

We’re also proud to endorse Aisha Wahab for Congress in CA-04.

Born to Afghan refugees, Aisha made history as the first Muslim elected to the California State Senate — now she’s running to bring bold leadership to Washington as she takes on the establishment in an open race to replace disgraced Eric Swalwell.

Backed by leaders like Pramila Jayapal, Greg Casar, and Maxwell Frost, Aisha is building a strong grassroots campaign focused on affordability and housing in one of the most expensive regions in the country.

As she told our members, this race is about whether the district elects a real progressive who will fight for people — or more of the same politics that put corporate interests first.

On the call, Our Revolution ally Brandee Marckmann talked about why San Francisco needs to stop treating public schools like a budget problem and start investing in them as the foundation of strong communities.

As a community organizer, Brandee has been on the frontlines defending public education — founding the SF Education Alliance to push back against privatization and fight for schools that serve all students.

She’s running to support educators, expand equity, and build community-driven schools that work for working families — not corporate interests.
