Dr. Adam Hamawy for Congress (NJ-12)

Our Revolution is proud to endorse Dr. Adam Hamawy for Congress in New Jersey’s 12th District — a lifelong public servant, veteran, and physician who has dedicated his career to saving lives, not serving corporate interests.

Dr. Hamawy’s story is rooted in service. An immigrant who grew up in New Jersey, he worked his way through Rutgers on an ROTC scholarship, joined the New Jersey Army National Guard, and became a combat trauma surgeon in the U.S. Army, ultimately rising to the rank of Lt. Colonel.

He treated victims on 9/11, saved lives on the battlefield in Iraq — including now-Senator Tammy Duckworth — and has spent more than three decades providing care in war zones and disaster areas around the world.

But what sets Dr. Hamawy apart is not just his service — it’s what he has learned from it.

From Iraq to Gaza, he has witnessed firsthand the devastating human cost of endless war and a foreign policy driven by politics and profit rather than humanity. At the same time, he has treated patients here at home in New Jersey who struggle to access basic care in a broken healthcare system. That contrast has shaped his mission: to fight for healthcare, not bombs.

Dr. Hamawy is running a truly people-powered campaign grounded in bold progressive values. He supports Medicare for All to guarantee healthcare as a human right. He is committed to ending inhumane immigration policies, including abolishing ICE. And he is fighting to unrig an economy that puts billionaires and corporations ahead of working people.

Unlike many in Washington, Dr. Hamawy cannot be bought. His campaign is rooted in service, integrity, and a deep commitment to human dignity — values he has lived out not just in words, but in action across decades.

At a time when establishment politicians continue to uphold a status quo that fails working families, Dr. Hamawy represents the kind of leadership our movement was built to elect: courageous, compassionate, and unapologetically committed to justice.

New Jersey’s 12th District deserves a representative who understands what it means to serve — and who will fight every day to deliver for the people, not corporate donors or political insiders.

Dr. Adam Hamawy has spent his life saving lives. Now, he’s ready to fight for them in Congress.

When we organize, we win.

State Races in Pennsylvania

In addition to congressional candidates Bob Brooks and Chris Rabb, Our Revolution is proud to endorse a strong slate of progressive leaders running for State House and State Senate seats across Pennsylvania — candidates ready to take on corporate power and deliver for working families.

In the State House, we’re proud to support Ce Gerlach (HD-22), Brittany Bloam (HD-45), and Ismail Smith-Wade-El (HD-49) — leaders committed to expanding opportunity, strengthening communities, and building an economy that works for everyone, not just the wealthy.

We’re also backing proven progressive champions Malcolm Kenyatta (HD-181) and Liz Fiedler (HD-184), who have been fearless voices for workers, economic justice, and bold reform in Harrisburg. They’ve consistently taken on corporate interests and fought to deliver real results for their communities.

And Sierra McNeil (HD-195) is stepping up to bring fresh, people-powered leadership — organizing to ensure that government is accountable to the people, not special interests.

At the state senate level, Lindsey Williams (SD-38) continues to be a powerful advocate for working families, championing labor rights, public education, and economic justice while standing up to corporate influence.

Together, this slate represents the strength and diversity of Pennsylvania’s progressive movement — leaders committed to fighting oligarchy, uplifting working people, and building a government that truly serves the many.

Progressive Slate in Oregon

In addition to supporting Sen. Jeff Merkley’s re-election campaign, Our Revolution is proud to endorse a slate of bold progressives running for State House seats across Oregon — leaders ready to take on corporate power and deliver for working families.

Tammy Carpenter (HD-27) is a community advocate and organizer committed to fighting for economic justice, strong public services, and opportunities for working people to thrive. She’s running to ensure government works for everyday Oregonians — not corporate interests.

John “Waz” Wasielewski (HD-38) is a grassroots leader focused on building a more just and equitable economy. He’s organizing to uplift working families, strengthen labor protections, and challenge the influence of big money in politics.

Travis Nelson (HD-44) is a nurse, labor leader, and proven champion for healthcare justice. As the first Black LGBTQ+ member of the Oregon Legislature, he has been a powerful voice for workers, patients, and underserved communities — fighting for equitable access to care and stronger protections for working people.

David Osborne (HD-52) is running to bring people-powered leadership to Salem, with a focus on affordability, economic opportunity, and standing up to corporate greed. He’s committed to building an economy that works for all Oregonians.

Each of these candidates stands firmly with working families and has pledged to take on oligarchy and corporate power.

Jeff Merkley for re-election U.S. Senate

By ALL, Endorsement, OR

Jeff Merkley for re-election U.S. Senate

At a moment of deep crisis for our democracy and our country, Our Revolution is proud to endorse Senator Jeff Merkley for reelection to the United States Senate (Oregon).

It’s a recognition of something rare in Washington: a leader who not only shares our values, but has stood with our movement when it matters most — especially when it’s hardest.

A Clear Voice Against Endless War

As the threat of a wider conflict escalates, Merkley has been one of the strongest voices in Congress opposing an unauthorized and dangerous war with Iran.

On April 6th, speaking with grassroots organizers across the country on Our Revolution’s Organize to Win call, Merkley made clear what’s at stake:

“This war is reckless, unlawful, and already hitting Americans here at home.”

That’s not political hedging — it’s moral clarity.

While too many in Washington fall in line or stay silent, Merkley has consistently challenged the march toward war, reminding us that Congress — not the president — has the authority to decide matters of war and peace. He has warned that this path is not only unconstitutional, but dangerous for working families already struggling with rising costs tied to global instability.

At a time when the political establishment too often enables endless war, Jeff Merkley has chosen courage.

Defending Democracy and Voting Rights

Merkley has also been a steadfast champion for democracy itself — pushing back against attacks on voting rights and efforts to rig the system against working people.

On that same call, he spoke to the urgency of protecting the ballot:

“We have to defend every American’s right to vote and reject efforts like the SAVE Act that put up barriers instead of expanding democracy.”

That’s been the throughline of his career: expand democracy, don’t restrict it.

From fighting voter suppression to backing reforms that get big money out of politics, Merkley understands that political power should belong to the people — not billionaires or corporate interests.

A Proven Champion

Jeff Merkley’s record reflects the values our movement was built on:

  • Championing Medicare for All and lowering prescription drug costs
  • Leading the fight for bold climate action and a Green New Deal
  • Standing up to Wall Street and corporate monopolies
  • Advocating for student debt relief and affordable education
  • Opposing endless wars and unchecked executive power

And importantly, he hasn’t wavered when the pressure mounts.

Time and again, Merkley has taken the harder path — whether that’s opposing bad trade deals, challenging corporate influence, or standing up to leadership when they fall short.

Bob Brooks for Congress in Pennsylvania’s 7th District

By ALL, Endorsement, PA

Bob Brooks for Congress in Pennsylvania’s 7th District

Our Revolution is proud to join Bernie Sanders in endorsing Bob Brooks for Congress in Pennsylvania’s 7th District — a working-class fighter who has spent his life serving his community and is ready to take that fight to Washington.

Bob Brooks isn’t a career politician. He’s a 20-year firefighter from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, who has put his life on the line to protect his neighbors. That experience matters. It means he understands — firsthand — the challenges working families face, from rising costs to underfunded public services to the need for good-paying union jobs.

Brooks is running to unseat a Republican incumbent and bring real representation to PA-07 — not for corporations or the wealthy few, but for the people who keep our communities running every day.

His campaign is rooted in the values that define our movement: economic justice, strong public services, and a government that works for working people. Like so many in the progressive movement, Brooks knows that the system is rigged in favor of big corporations and billionaires — and he’s ready to challenge that status quo.

That’s why leaders like Bernie Sanders have stepped up to support his campaign — recognizing that Bob represents the kind of authentic, working-class leadership our country needs more of.

At a time when working families are struggling with rising costs, stagnant wages, and a political system dominated by corporate interests, we need candidates who will stand up and fight — not just talk.

Bob Brooks is that kind of candidate.

Our Revolution is proud to stand with him and the grassroots movement behind his campaign. Together, we can flip this seat, strengthen the progressive movement in Congress, and build a government that truly serves the many, not the few.

When we organize, we win. ✊

TELL DEM LEADERS: DON'T SABOTAGE MAMDANI

After Zohran Mamdani’s historic victory, the Democratic Establishment is mobilizing to sabotage his campaign.

Top Democrats including Chuck Schumer are refusing to endorse Mamdani — even though he’s the Democratic nominee, and behind closed doors, billionaire Democratic donors are lining up behind disgraced Mayor Eric Adams who announced he’s running as an independent against Mamdani in November.

We’ve seen this playbook before: In 2021, establishment insiders sabotaged India Walton’s mayoral campaign in Buffalo by backing a corporate-funded independent. They are trying to do it again — and we have to stop them.

Tell Schumer, Jeffries, and the entire Democratic Establishment: BACK OFF! Respect democracy and back Zohran Mamdani as the nominee.

For months, pundits dismissed Mamdani as championing an agenda that was too radical or too fringe, and the party’s entrenched leaders poured enormous resources—billionaire cash, political insiders, and PAC-funded attack ads—into trying to stop him. And immediately this morning, the attacks continued:

Our Revolution didn’t just endorse Mamdani, our organizers poured calls and texts into the city and pounded the pavement to get every voter to the polls. On Election Day, we canvassed ALL FIVE BOROUGHS from 6AM to 9PM, when polls closed. And it paid off!

We are in a generational battle for the soul of the Democratic Party against establishment Democrats who have a track record of refusing to embrace the progressive agenda needed to defeat Trump and build a better future for all Americans.

As Bernie Sanders wrote in a powerful opinion piece in the Guardian, the Democratic Party is at a crossroads: it can learn the lessons of Mamdani’s campaign or it can continue to depend upon billionaire donors and out-of-touch campaign consultants. It’s clear which road Schumer and Co. are taking.

Bernie knows all too well what happens when the Democratic Establishment mobilizes against you, betraying voters to pander to corporate elites and billionaire donors threatened by true progressive change.

For months, billionaires and party elites poured money and political muscle into stopping Mamdani. But voters chose him anyway, demanding a bold progressive future.

Now, the same insiders who lost at the ballot box are conspiring to undermine him – and if we don’t immediately raise the alarm and rally to Mamdani’s side, they could succeed — just like they did in Buffalo. We can’t let them do it in NYC.

Add your name now to demand Democratic leaders unite behind Zohran Mamdani and respect the will of the people.

When we organize, we win.

Congratulations to Adelita Grijalva on her big Democratic primary victory in Arizona’s 7th Congressional District!

We are proud to stand with a champion who’s rooted in community, committed to justice, and ready to take on corporate power in Washington — onward to November!

This is an exciting victory for Tucson City Councilmember Adelita Grijalva in Arizona’s 7th—a seat long held by her father, Rep. Raúl Grijalva, a founding co-chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus and a proudly endorsed Our Revolution candidate.

“Adelita Grijalva has spent her life fighting for public education, healthcare for all, and immigrant justice—and tonight, voters affirmed her deep connection to this district and her proven commitment to the issues that matter to working people,” said Joseph Geevarghese, Executive Director of Our Revolution.“It’s clear voters want someone who understands the needs of this community and will carry forward a legacy of bold, values-driven leadership in Congress.”

This primary made clear what grassroots voters have been calling for: a leader willing to fight unapologetically for healthcare, climate justice, reproductive freedom, and an economy that works for everyday people. Adelita met the moment with clarity, consistency, and a commitment to bold ideas rooted in the realities of working-class Arizonans.

Stop Crypto Corruption

By Homepage, Take Action

US Senators Elizabeth Warren and Jeff Merkley joined our LIVE Town Hall Monday to break down Trump’s crypto corruption — and how we can actually stop it.

Big Tech Oligarchs spent over $200 million to elect Trump and now he’s paying them back.

An industry-written crypto bill — the “GENIUS Act” — is moving through Congress, and Democrats must stand together to block it unless the bill includes Merkley’s End Crypto Corruption Act to stop politicians from profiting off crypto deals.

★ ★ ★

The GENIUS Act would open the floodgates to untraceable crypto donations, deregulate stablecoins, and allow elected officials—including Trump himself—to personally profit from crypto ventures.

Warren laid out how Trump is selling his crypto coins directly to foreign governments, and getting rich off transactions and interest-free loans. “This is not some small grift on the side. Trump’s stablecoin is now the fifth largest in the world,” she said.

★ ★ ★

Merkley echoed the alarm:  “This is about the direct corruption of our elected officials.”

He said Trump could see $80 million a year from the United Arab Emirates buying his crypto coins as part of a $2B deal. “They are very clearly seeking influence for a result:  They want microprocessors for AI.”

★ ★ ★

Any version of the so-called ‘GENIUS’ Act must include Sen. Merkley’s measure to block politicians (like Trump!) from profiting off crypto schemes.

This is more than just about crypto — it’s about taking a stand against the billionaire takeover of our government. Sign the petition and stop the crypto power grab!
