As a City Councilmember, Nithya has served as Chair of the Housing and Homelessness Committee — focused on tackling the crisis in LA while working to make city government more responsive to the people it serves.

Before running for office, Nithya spent years working alongside communities across Los Angeles to address homelessness and expand access to affordable housing. An urban planner with degrees from Harvard and MIT, she co-founded the SELAH Neighborhood Homeless Coalition, bringing together volunteers to connect unhoused neighbors with housing, services, and support. 

Nithya’s campaign is rooted in the belief that solving our biggest challenges requires both compassion and effective government. And she is clear that Angelenos deserve a city that delivers for them.

Her campaign is focused on addressing the housing affordability crisis by building more homes, making it easier to produce affordable housing, and ensuring that working families aren’t priced out of the communities they call home.

Los Angeles voters have repeatedly approved funding to address the crisis, and Nithya believes City Hall has a responsibility to ensure those investments produce measurable results—moving more people into permanent housing while making government more transparent and effective.

As a San Francisco Supervisor, Connie has been a consistent advocate for working people, fighting to keep families in their neighborhoods, protect public services, and invest in affordable housing. Her campaign for Congress is built on the belief that every family deserves economic security, safe communities, and a government willing to take on the affordability crisis.

Connie knows firsthand the opportunities America can provide and has spent her life giving back to the community that welcomed her, her mother, and brother when they immigrated from Hong Kong in 1989.

Her campaign is rooted in ensuring that every child, worker, senior, and immigrant has the opportunity to succeed. She believes Congress must lower costs for families, expand affordable housing, protect Social Security and Medicare, strengthen public education, and defend immigrant communities.

For nearly a decade in Congress, Rep. Ro Khanna has proven that bold progressive leadership can deliver real results. That’s why Our Revolution is proud to endorse Ro Khanna for re-election to represent California’s 17th Congressional District.

Ro has never been afraid to challenge powerful interests—whether they’re billionaires, Big Pharma, the military-industrial complex, or political insiders. He has consistently used his platform to fight for working people, defend democracy, and build a government that puts people before corporate power.

Ro’s commitment to our movement runs deep. As a National Co-Chair of Bernie Sanders’ 2020 presidential campaign, he helped advance a vision of Medicare for All, economic justice, climate action, and a government accountable to ordinary Americans—not wealthy donors. That same vision continues to guide his work in Congress.

Throughout his time in office, Ro has been one of Congress’s strongest champions for universal healthcare, repeatedly backing legislation to guarantee healthcare as a human right, lower prescription drug prices, expand Medicare, and tackle medical debt. He argues that no American should go bankrupt because they get sick and remains committed to making universal healthcare a reality.

Ro has also emerged as one of the leading voices in Congress against endless war.

He has led bipartisan efforts to reclaim Congress’s constitutional authority over decisions of war and peace, introducing War Powers legislation to prevent unauthorized U.S. military action against Iran and arguing that America should invest in jobs and healthcare—not more endless wars.

Ro has consistently called for an end to the devastating loss of civilian life in Gaza and for U.S. policy to prioritize diplomacy, human rights, and lasting peace. He has been among the most outspoken members of Congress demanding that the United States use its leverage to stop the killing and pursue a just resolution to the conflict.

Ro is also demonstrating that no one is above the law.

He helped lead the successful push for greater transparency surrounding the Jeffrey Epstein case through the bipartisan Epstein Files Transparency Act, arguing that the American people deserve the truth and that powerful individuals must be held accountable. His work forced the release of thousands of previously sealed records and challenged the culture of secrecy that has protected elites for too long.

Whether he’s fighting corporate monopolies, standing up for workers, expanding healthcare, or defending our democracy, Ro Khanna has consistently shown what principled progressive leadership looks like.
