Bold Progressive Slate for California’s Future

California has long been seen as a laboratory for progressive change — but whether that promise is realized depends on who we elect at every level of government.

That’s why Our Revolution is proud to support a powerful slate of candidates for the California State Assembly and Senate — leaders who are ready to take on corporate power, fight for working people, and deliver real results.

Sean Frame — State Senate District 6

Sean Frame is stepping up with a grassroots, people-powered campaign focused on affordability, accountability, and building a government that works for everyday Californians. His campaign reflects the growing demand for new leadership that isn’t tied to corporate interests.

Fatima Iqbal-Zubair — Assembly District 65

Fatima Iqbal-Zubair is a community organizer and advocate who has built her campaign around economic justice, healthcare access, and uplifting working-class communities. She represents a new generation of leadership rooted in service, equity, and grassroots organizing.

Jackie Elward — Assembly District 12

Jackie Elward brings a community-first approach to her campaign, focused on transparency, accountability, and ensuring that public institutions serve people — not powerful insiders. She is part of a wave of candidates pushing for more responsive and equitable governance.

Chris Kluwe — Assembly District 72

Chris Kluwe, a former NFL player turned outspoken activist, has been a vocal advocate for civil liberties, LGBTQ+ rights, and free speech. He has consistently used his platform to challenge injustice and is running to bring that same courage and independence to Sacramento.

Liz Ortega — Assembly District 20

Liz Ortega is a labor leader and longtime advocate for workers’ rights. As a union leader, she has fought for fair wages, safe working conditions, and economic justice — and she’s bringing that fight to the legislature.

Alex Lee — Assembly District 24

Alex Lee has already proven himself as one of the most outspoken progressive voices in the California Legislature. A democratic socialist and Medicare for All champion, he has led on housing justice, student debt relief, and expanding the social safety net.

Ash Kalra — Assembly District 25

Ash Kalra is a national leader in the fight for single-payer healthcare, authoring California’s Medicare for All legislation. A civil rights attorney and longtime progressive champion, he has consistently taken on corporate interests and fought for workers, immigrants, and marginalized communities.

Building Power Down the Ballot

Real change doesn’t just happen in Congress — it starts in our communities.

That’s why we’re proud to endorse a powerful slate of local leaders in California who are stepping up to fight for working people:

  • Maria Pacheco (Fresno County Supervisor D1) – community advocate focused on equity, public safety reform, and investing in underserved neighborhoods
  • Neil Polzin (Covina City Treasurer) – bringing transparency, fiscal accountability, and responsible stewardship of public funds
  • Flo Cofer (Sacramento County Supervisor D1) – community leader and public safety advocate working to build safer, more equitable communities
  • Jocelyn Sida (Fontana Mayor) – grassroots leader focused on working families, economic opportunity, and responsive local government
  • Tamisha Torres Walker (Antioch City Council D1) – violence prevention leader and equity advocate centering youth, safety, and community investment
  • Monica Wilson (Antioch City Council D2) – educator and public servant committed to transparency, accountability, and community-first leadership

From city halls to county councils, these races shape our daily lives — and build the foundation for bigger progressive wins. ✊

And, we’re backing several amazing candidates for local school boards and state boards  — because these seats shape our children’s education, our tax system, and our communities.

  • Brandee Marckmann (SF Board of Education) — educator and founder of the SF Education Alliance, fighting privatization and supporting public schools
  • Samuel Sukaton (Board of Equalization, D1) — a progressive tax advocate working to make corporations pay their share
  • Cody Petterson (Board of Equalization, D4) — focused on transparency and accountability in shaping fair tax policy
  • Shant Kevorkian (Glendale USD Board) — a community leader and parent advocate working to strengthen public schools
  • Nichelle Henderson (Superintendent of Public Instruction) — longtime public education advocate focused on equity, student outcomes, supporting educators

Let’s elect leaders who will put people first. ✊

Why These Races Matter

In a blue state like California, the primary is often the election — and that means the real choice is between different visions for the future of the Democratic Party.

Will we elect candidates backed by corporate interests and the status quo?
Or leaders rooted in grassroots movements, ready to deliver bold change?

Down-ballot races are where real power is built. They determine whether we can pass policies that make healthcare a human right, tackle the housing crisis, strengthen labor protections, and take on climate change at the scale required.

California can lead the nation — but only if we elect the strongest progressives possible.

These candidates represent the future of that fight.

When we organize, we win.

Janeese Lewis George for DC Mayor

By ALL, DC, Endorsement

Janeese Lewis George for DC Mayor

Our Revolution is proud to endorse Janeese Lewis George for Mayor of Washington, D.C. because she isn’t just talking about change — she has spent her career fighting for it.

A Ward 4 Councilmember and labor ally, Janeese made history as the first self-described democratic socialist elected to the D.C. Council in decades. She ran — and won — on a grassroots, small-donor campaign that centered working people.

Now, Janeese is running a people-first campaign for Mayor focused on affordability, equity, and building a city that works for everyone — not just the wealthy few.

Her platform directly takes on the crises facing working families:

  • Universal Childcare: Expanding subsidies so every D.C. family can afford care
  • Social Housing: Investing in publicly owned, mixed-income housing to tackle skyrocketing rents
  • Workers & Families First: Fighting for good jobs, strong labor protections, and economic justice
  • Immigrant Justice: Ending cooperation between local authorities and federal immigration enforcement
  • Community Safety: Investing in prevention, public services, and accountability — not failed status quo approaches
  • Affordable City for All: Tackling the cost of housing, childcare, transportation, and small business survival

This is a comprehensive agenda rooted in the idea that government should serve people — not corporations and big money interests.

Janeese is challenging a political establishment that has held power in D.C. for decades — and she’s doing it the same way she’s always led: by organizing. She is offering a clear alternative to politics as usual — one that uplifts working people, renters, families, and communities too often left behind.

Janeese represents the next generation of leaders carrying that movement forward at the local level — where real change can take root.

When we organize, we win.

Kiernan Majerus-Collins for Maine House (HD-95)

By ALL, Endorsement, ME

Kiernan Majerus-Collins for Maine House (HD-95)

We need leaders who will fight — not fold. That’s why Our Revolution is proud to endorse Kiernan Majerus-Collins for Maine House of Representatives, District 95.

Kiernan isn’t a career politician, he’s a civil rights and immigration attorney who has dedicated his legal work to protecting the constitutional rights of poor and working-class people — ensuring that justice isn’t just for those who can afford it.

He’s also served his community directly, including on the Lewiston School Committee, where he advocated for students and families and helped shape local education policy.

This is the kind of leadership we need: rooted in community, grounded in service, and committed to justice.

A Bold Progressive Agenda for Maine

Kiernan is running on a platform that puts working people first and takes on the core challenges facing Mainers:

  • Lowering the cost of living and making Maine more affordable
  • Building more affordable housing to address the housing crisis
  • Defending immigrant rights and standing up to discrimination
  • Taking on climate change with urgent, forward-looking solutions
  • Strengthening democracy and the rule of law for everyone

This is a clear, values-driven agenda that recognizes a simple truth: government should work for people — not powerful interests.

Kiernan understands the impact of economic injustice and political neglect. His campaign is about ensuring those voices are not only heard — but centered in policymaking. As he puts it, governing means “remembering that everyone counts.”

Kiernan represents a new generation of leaders stepping up to carry forward the fight for economic justice, civil rights, and a more inclusive democracy.

When we organize, we win. ✊

Jamie Raskin for Re-Election to Congress

By ALL, Endorsement, MD

Jamie Raskin for Re-Election to Congress

At a time when our democracy is under attack and working people are demanding bold action on economic justice, climate, and civil rights, we need leaders who will stand firm — no matter the pressure.

That’s why Our Revolution is proud to endorse Congressman Jamie Raskin for re-election.

Jamie Raskin has become a national leader in the fight to defend our democracy.

A former constitutional law professor, Raskin brought his deep expertise — and moral clarity — to Congress, where he has been a leading voice against authoritarianism and corruption. He served as lead impeachment manager during Donald Trump’s second impeachment, and he’s been a consistent champion for working people and progressive change.

As a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, he has backed policies that align with the core values of the political revolution:

  • Medicare for All
  • Bold climate action
  • Strong labor rights
  • Voting rights and democratic reforms
  • Economic justice

Rep. Raskin has also been a vocal advocate for student debt relief, campaign finance reform, and getting big money out of politics — recognizing that our democracy cannot function when it’s dominated by billionaires and corporate interests.

He understands that the fight for democracy is inseparable from the fight for economic justice.

He’s consistently taken on corporate influence and defended the role of government in serving the public good — not private profit. Whether it’s pushing for stronger oversight, supporting antitrust action, or backing reforms to curb the influence of big money in elections, Raskin has been a reliable ally in the fight to rebalance power toward working people.

Before Congress, Raskin served in the Maryland State Senate, where he built a reputation as a progressive reformer — passing legislation to expand civil rights, protect consumers, and strengthen democratic participation.

Throughout his career, he has stayed closely connected to grassroots movements — listening to constituents, engaging with organizers, and using his platform to amplify the voices of those too often left out of the political process.

Jamie Raskin represents the kind of leadership this moment demands.

Lateefah Simon for Re-Election in CA-12

By ALL, CA, Endorsement

Lateefah Simon for Re-Election in CA-12

At a time when corporate power, rising costs, and political dysfunction are leaving working people behind, we need leaders who don’t just talk about change — they fight for it.

That’s why Our Revolution is proud to endorse Congresswoman Lateefah Simon for re-election in California’s 12th District.

Lateefah Simon’s story is rooted in struggle, resilience, and organizing.

A lifelong Bay Area resident, civil rights advocate, and MacArthur “genius grant” recipient, Lateefah has spent decades fighting for communities that have been pushed to the margins — especially young people, women, and communities of color.

She first rose to national prominence as a youth organizer, leading the Young Women’s Freedom Center and transforming how the justice system supports young women impacted by incarceration.

From there, she helped shape criminal justice reform efforts, served on the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) Board, and led major racial justice philanthropy efforts — always centering equity and opportunity.

Today, she brings that same movement-driven leadership to Congress.

A Progressive Voice in Congress

Since taking office in 2025, Lateefah has aligned herself with the progressive wing of the Democratic Party — serving as a Vice Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus and fighting for policies that put working people first.

Her agenda reflects the core values of the political revolution:

  • Medicare for All and universal healthcare
  • A $15+ minimum wage and strong labor protections
  • Expanded safety net programs like Medicaid and food assistance
  • A federal jobs guarantee
  • Investments in affordable housing and transit equity

She has also been a strong advocate for criminal justice reform, reentry support, and policies that reduce mass incarceration.

Standing Up to Corporate Power

Lateefah has been clear: our government should serve people — not corporations.

She has taken on corporate polluters and supported bold climate action, earning backing from environmental justice organizations for her commitment to transitioning away from fossil fuels and protecting frontline communities.

She has also been outspoken in opposing excessive military spending and endless war, calling for a reorientation of federal resources toward healthcare, education, and community investment.

This is leadership that prioritizes people over profit.

Carrying Forward a Progressive Legacy

Lateefah represents a district long represented by the legendary Rep. Barbara Lee — and she is carrying forward that legacy of courage, independence, and principled leadership.

Like Barbara Lee, Lateefah is willing to stand up when it matters most — even when it’s not politically easy.

Her work in Congress — from supporting care workers to advancing protections for crime survivors — reflects a deep commitment to dignity, justice, and economic security for all.

Lateefah Simon isn’t just a member of Congress — she’s a movement leader — and we’re proud to stand behind her in this run for re-election.

Amanda Gonzalez for Colorado Secretary of State

By ALL, CO, Endorsement

Amanda Gonzalez for Colorado Secretary of State

At a time when our democracy is under attack, Colorado needs a leader who will protect the vote, expand access, and take on the influence of big money in politics.

That’s why Our Revolution is proud to endorse Amanda Gonzalez for Colorado Secretary of State.

Amanda Gonzalez is a voting rights attorney and democracy advocate who has spent her career fighting to ensure government works for everyone — not just the powerful. As the elected Clerk & Recorder for Jefferson County, she oversees elections for hundreds of thousands of voters and has worked to make them more accessible, secure, and transparent.

Before serving in elected office, Amanda was the executive director of Colorado Common Cause, where she helped advance reforms to strengthen democracy — including expanding ballot access and reducing the influence of money in politics.

She has been a leader in building a more inclusive democracy — helping pass policies like automatic voter registration, increasing secure ballot drop boxes, and supporting independent redistricting to ensure fair representation.

Amanda’s campaign is rooted in a simple but powerful belief: our democracy should belong to the people.

She represents a new generation of leadership — grounded in protecting voting rights, expanding access, and ensuring transparency and accountability in our elections.

At Our Revolution, we believe that defending democracy means fighting for systems that work for everyday people — not corporations or special interests.

Amanda Gonzalez has spent her career doing exactly that.

We’re proud to stand with her in this fight — and ready to help build the grassroots power needed to win.

Join us. Let’s protect our democracy together.

Abdul El-Sayed for U.S. Senate in Michigan

By ALL, Endorsement, MI

Abdul El-Sayed for U.S. Senate in Michigan

At a time when we need bold, transformational leadership, Our Revolution is proud to endorse Abdul El-Sayed for U.S. Senate in Michigan.

Abdul is a physician, epidemiologist, and public health leader — perhaps best known as a powerful surrogate for Medicare for All during the presidential campaign of Bernie Sanders, who has also come out to endorse him in this Senate run.

From leading public health efforts in Michigan to addressing national systemic health inequities, his work has always been grounded in the belief that everyone deserves dignity, care, and opportunity.

He’s running on a bold campaign platform to deliver for working people:

  • Medicare for All – healthcare is a human right
  • Taking on corporate greed
  • Restoring worker power
  • Ending corporate influence in politics
  • A humane immigration system
  • Foreign policy rooted in peace and accountability

This is a campaign powered by people — not corporate PACs — and driven by a commitment to build a government that truly represents working families.

At Our Revolution, we know that real change doesn’t come from the top down — it comes from movements.

Abdul El-Sayed has been part of that movement for years. Now, he’s ready to bring that fight to the United States Senate.

We’re proud to stand with him — and we’re ready to help build the grassroots power needed to win.

When we organize, we win.

Melat Kiros for U.S. Congress in CO-01

By ALL, CO, Endorsement

Melat Kiros for U.S. Congress in CO-01

In one of the most progressive districts in the country, voters in Colorado’s 1st deserve a representative who will fight as boldly as they do.

That’s why Our Revolution is proud to endorse Melat Kiros for U.S. Congress.

Melat Kiros is a lawyer, PhD student, and grassroots candidate running to bring a new generation of leadership to Washington — accountable to working people, not corporate PACs or entrenched political power.

Her campaign is rooted in a clear, unapologetic progressive vision.

Melat is running on a platform that includes:

  • Medicare for All — guaranteeing healthcare as a human right
  • Housing First — treating housing as a public good and ending homelessness
  • Universal childcare — ensuring every family has the support they need
  • Ending corporate influence in politics — rejecting corporate PAC money
  • An arms embargo rooted in human rights and accountability in U.S. foreign policy

She has been clear: in the richest country in the world, housing, healthcare, food, and education should be guaranteed rights — not privileges.

Melat’s candidacy is also about challenging a political status quo that has failed to deliver for working people. In a district like Denver — where inequality, displacement, and rising costs are reshaping communities — she is making the case that it’s time for leadership willing to take on corporate power and fight for structural change.

This is a campaign powered by people — not billionaires.

And it’s part of a broader movement to transform the Democratic Party into one that truly represents the needs of everyday Americans.

At Our Revolution, we believe that real change comes from candidates who are willing to stand up, speak out, and organize — even when it comes at a personal cost.

Melat Kiros is that kind of leader.

We’re proud to stand with her in Colorado’s 1st District — and we’re ready to help build the grassroots power needed to win.

Join us. Let’s organize for a government that works for all of us.
