Trump is trying to cut Medicaid, SNAP & much more. How will you and your family be affected?
The House GOP, under directives from Trump, passed a budget resolution last night to slash Medicaid. It clears the way for massive tax breaks for billionaires and corporations.
Trump has made it his top legislative priority to gut Medicaid and SNAP for tens of millions of Americans. In fact, Bernie says cuts to Medicaid will be a DISASTER for nearly every single American.
This fight is FAR from over. Our Citizen Army is flooding Congressional offices with calls, and we’re fighting tooth and nail to flip the two Republicans we need in the House to prevent Americans from losing healthcare. Right now, we need our entire grassroots movement speaking to their leaders.
After facing one Republican assault after the next in recent years, NPR and PBS are already hanging on by a thread. And now Trump and Musk want to completely gut the most trusted, unbiased source for news out there. WIll you urgently add your name to save PBS and NPR?
Musk has floated lots of ideas to cut spending – eliminating entire government departments and firing thousands. But one of the most concrete things on his list is slashing HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of dollars in annual funding for PBS and NPR.
It’s not a new threat. Republicans have been waging a war on public broadcasting for years, trying to do away with free, fact-based independent journalism that is required by law to be objective and free from corporate or political agendas.
When Trump tried to slash public media funding during his first term, millions mobilized to stop him. Trump lost that fight, but this time could be different as Republicans line up behind him and Musk pushes harder than ever for major cuts.
We’re going to be ready.
Together, we can fight back to save NPR and PBS – and win. But it will only work if we mobilize in MASSIVE numbers, then relentlessly lobby Congress to keep public media alive. That work starts NOW – will you add your name to send a message straight to Congress?
In this polarized environment, free and independent media is more vital than ever. And that’s exactly why Trump and his oligarch buddies have settled on PBS and NPR as targets – without this vital public service, they’ll be free to spread all the disinformation they desire.
Together, we can save one of our most important tools left to expose their lies.

With Kamala Harris choosing a progressive running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, many are hopeful it’s a sign that the Party is listening to the base and embracing a working class agenda.
Walz has a strong record on labor, school meals, housing, paid leave, child poverty, taxing corporations, fighting wage theft, and more — and our polling shows these are winning policies in swing states.
“Walz is an excellent pick for VP. He’s the anti-elite candidate and comes across as the Everyman,” Joseph Geevarghese, Our Revolution executive director, told The Atlantic. “This is a sign Democrats understand they cannot win against Trumpism without pushing policies that resonate with working-class voters in the Midwest and beyond.”
Our mission in 2024 is clear: Defeat Trump. The Harris/Walz ticket is coming into the DNC with a lot of energy, but we need to keep building on this momentum all the way to November.
Last week, after years of organizing, the DNC Rules & Bylaws Committee voted to extend critical reforms indefinitely, and send our proposal to DNC convention delegates in Chicago for final approval.
These reforms include reducing the power of superdelegates in the presidential nominating process, and mandating all 57 state parties adopt same-day primary voter registration and vote by mail.
The Unity Reform Commission was launched by 1,300 Bernie delegates at the 2016 convention and co-chaired by Our Revolution Chair Larry Cohen. In 2020, with the backing of over 1,000 Bernie convention delegates, we successfully extended these reforms for the 2024 cycle.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Following President Biden’s decision not to seek the Democratic nomination, Joseph Geervarghese, Executive Director of Our Revolution, the largest grassroots-funded progressive political organizing group in the United States, released the following statement
“Our Revolution commends President Biden’s courageous choice to put the country over personal ambitions. We thank him for his service and dedication to the nation. His willingness to listen to the party’s base demonstrates his commitment to our shared mission of defeating Trump.”
Geervarghese continues, “Our Revolution appreciates President Biden’s recent embrace of Bernie Sanders’ plans to cancel medical debt, raise the minimum wage, and cap national rent increases at 5%. This acknowledgment of our progressive platform shows his dedication to listening to our members and we fully expect the top of the ticket to continue embracing these policies.
As we look ahead, our members expect the next nominee, likely Vice President Kamala Harris, to adopt and champion a progressive platform that delivers for working families and rebuilds trust in government and the Democratic Party. With these exciting and tangible policy priorities now part of the party platform, we are hopeful that the new nominee will invigorate interest in the Democratic ticket, ensuring we defeat Trump in November.”
Our Revolution, representing an 8 million-strong grassroots network, conducted an initial survey that showed approximately 70% of progressives supported Biden stepping aside as the Democratic nominee, with 32% indicating they are less likely to vote for him following the debate. These survey results, first reported by POLITICO Playbook, highlight the sentiments of grassroots progressives about President Biden and the upcoming election.
