Our Revolution is holding a member drive right now to make sure we have the resources to: Mobilize protest votes for Peace in Gaza; Defend and elect pro-Peace candidates in 2024; and Organize delegates to advocate for our progressive platform at the Democratic Convention. Help fuel this work with a monthly donation today!

★ ★ ★

Our Revolution has teamed up with Progressive Democrats of America and the State Democratic Party Network to launch a comprehensive 2024 Progressive Power Platform to push at the Democratic Convention in Chicago in August.

We are organizing delegates to advocate that the DNC include in the party platform progressive priorities like filibuster reform, taxing billionaires, campaign finance reform — and, of course, a ceasefire and conditioning aid to Israel.

“We’re gearing up for a fight and drawing a line in the sand,” Our Revolution Executive Director Joseph Geevarghese told NBC News. “It’s in the re-election campaign’s interest to minimize disruption and protests, and the only way to do that is meaningful policy shifts.”

Sign on to show the DNC that you support the 2024 Progressive Power Platform.

At this point, more than 600,000 protest votes for Peace have been cast in the Democratic primaries — including critical swing states like MI WI MN and NC -- sending a warning to President Biden that he must realign his foreign policy with the values of the base if he hopes to defeat Trump.

“Despite President Biden’s slim margin of victory in 2020, his recent policy decisions, including the approval of weapon sales to Israel, have not aligned with his stated commitments, causing concern among our voters,” Joseph told Newsweek.

Bernie also shared with MSNBC that he’s worried about how Biden will fare in the presidential election in November. “The polling is very clear: The Democratic base wants to stop funding Netanyahu’s war machine,” he said.

“I think some people will sit out the election because of their moral revulsion to what's happening abroad,” Joseph told ABC News this week. But, he noted, Biden may be able to win back some voters if he listens to progressives and changes course and pursues Peace for Gaza.

NEXT UP: MARYLAND UNCOMMITTED!

Our Revolution Executive Director Joseph Geevarghese spoke at the Maryland Uncommitted coalition launch in Annapolis last week encouraging pro-Peace voters to use their ballot to pressure President Biden to change course and call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza.

“Progressive Democrats in Maryland will not stand by idly as the White House uses American taxpayer dollars to fund Netanyahu’s horrific bombing campaign,” Joseph told Maryland Matters.

Our Revolution will be mobilizing our 137,000 members in Maryland by phone, text, and email, encouraging them to vote “uncommitted” in the Democratic presidential primary on May 14th.

DONATE NOW to help us keep up the momentum and Get Out the Uncommitted Vote! Every dollar you give allows us to communicate with a Maryland voter 3x about our pro-Peace movement.

OUR LATEST ENDORSEMENTS!

Our movement worked hard to elect the largest Congressional Progressive Caucus in history. Now, we must defend these seats against rightwing lobbyists like AIPAC, set to spend $100 million trying to unseat some of our strongest voices for Peace in Congress.

That’s why Our Revolution is proud to re-endorse US Reps. Pramila Jayapal (WA-7), Rashida Tlaib (MI-12), Delia Ramirez (IL-3), Ayanna Pressley (MA-7), Jamaal Bowman (NY-16), Summer Lee (PA-12), Ilhan Omar (MN-05), and Cori Bush (MO-1) in 2024!

Holding these seats will be critical to our inside-outside strategy for change. These progressive leaders have been champions, not only for Peace in Gaza, but for climate, housing, immigration, racial justice and more.

Together, we have more work to do! Chip in to our 2024 Progressive Power Fund to help us out-organize big money and re-elect our top progressive allies in Congress.

★ ★ ★

You already know Our Revolution has Summer Lee’s back, but did you know that Election Day is coming up one week from Tuesday?

Our grassroots movement helped lift Rep. Lee to victory in 2022, when she overcame millions of dollars in spending in the final stretch, and we can do it again!

If you have friends or family near Pittsburgh, let them know that early voting is open and we have a chance to re-elect Summer Lee to Congress.

★ ★ ★

Not only are we on a mission to Defend Progressive Power, but we also have some great opportunities to GROW Progressive Power by electing new allies to Congress this year!

Our Revolution is excited to announce our official endorsement of CA State Senator Dave Min for Congress in California’s 47th District.

In the State Senate, Dave focused on gun violence prevention, economic development and innovation, and investing in public education.

As Chair of the Senate Natural Resources and Water Committee, he has worked to protect California’s public lands and coastline, regulate oil and gas, and preserve biodiversity.

A son of Korean immigrants and the only Korean American in the Legislature, Senator Min serves as Vice Chair of the California Asian and Pacific Islander (API) Legislative Caucus which has been instrumental in the passage of the historic AAPI Equity Budget.

★ ★ ★

Our Revolution is proud to stand with Raquel Terán for U.S. Congress in Arizona’s 3rd District.

As State Senator, and in the State House, Raquel has been a voice for working families, immigrant rights, and good jobs. She supports Medicare for All and has a record of tackling climate change.

Raquel is running for the open seat vacated by Ruben Gallego for his U.S. Senate run against Trump ally Kari Lake to replace Kyrsten Sinema. This is a deep blue district open for a true progressive to win, and Raquel Terán has emerged as a front runner.

“I’ve spent my career organizing in our community for higher wages, health care for our families, and better schools. I’ve taken on far-right extremist bullies and won. Now, I’m running to represent our community in Congress,” said Sen. Terán.

★ ★ ★

Our Revolution is all-in to elect Sarah McBride to the U.S. Congress seat in Delaware.

McBride has already made significant strides in the Delaware State Senate to advance LGBTQ+ rights, affordable child care, the cost of living, abortion rights, gun safety, and health care access.

McBride became the first transgender state senator in U.S. history in 2020. With her campaign for Congress, she aims to make history once again as the first openly transgender member of Congress.

Sarah is running for the open seat vacated by Lisa Rochester for her U.S. Senate run. This is a blue district open for a true progressive to win, and Sarah McBride has emerged as a front runner and is leading in the polls!

Donate any amount to our 2024 Progressive Power Fund to make sure we can mobilize our grassroots activists to get out the vote in each of these key races!

AIPAC and its rightwing funders are starting to spend up to $100 MILLION against Pro-Peace progressives in Congress, targeting Our Revolution allies like Summer Lee, Rashida Tlaib, Pramila Jayapal, Ilhan Omar and others.

As a leader in the nationwide Reject AIPAC coalition, Our Revolution is marshaling our resources and our movement to defend our progressive candidates, elect more progressives to Congress, and get the word out about AIPAC’s toxic behavior.

Organized people can defeat Big Money. Chip in today to help us mobilize our GOTV army and ramp up our digital strategy to Defend and Expand Progressive Power in 2024.

When you support our work with a donation of $10 or more, we’ll send you a “Reject AIPAC” sticker to spread solidarity in the fight against this toxic right-wing lobbying group!

NEW VICTORY!

Thanks to the grassroots, Our Revolution-endorsed Flo Cofer won the primary and is headed to the general election, where she is likely to emerge as the next mayor of Sacramento, California!

Flo Cofer has been a strong voice for social change and worked as a senior policy advisor for public health, helping to pass legislation for marijuana legalization, community safety, nutrition, diabetes prevention, and racial equity.

“I’ve seen firsthand how corporate lobbyists influence government to drive up healthcare costs. I’ve also seen how people can stand up together to make government work for all of us,” she said.

As mayor, Flo Cofer will provide the leadership to help solve the affordable housing and homelessness crises, protect our climate, and create quality jobs.

Help Our Revolution fund our phone bank and texting force to elect more great progressives like this across the country in 2024!

WHEN WE ORGANIZE, WE WIN!

Our mission: Defeat Trump and grow Progressive power

By Homepage

This election year, we must stop a return of Trump to the White House, while also defending our progressive allies in Congress and electing new champions to expand the Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC). Stay tuned for our new endorsements for Congress!

Right now, as a horrible war rages in Gaza, the pro-Netanyahu lobbying group AIPAC is deploying $100 million from rightwing donors in an attempt to unseat pro-Peace progressives in Congress, while also supporting pro-Insurrection Republican candidates in 2024.

That’s why Our Revolution is launching a massive grassroots mobilization campaign to reach 226,000 progressive voters in the 16 key districts that we’ve identified as crucial to win.

We’ve put together a strategic and cost-efficient plan to make 6 contacts per voter for just $1 — which means we need to raise $226,000 to maximize our impact in each of these districts.

Our Revolution will kick off this work with a LIVE Progressive Power Town Hall on April 22nd, hosted by Our Revolution and U.S. Rep. and CPC Chair Pramila Jayapal, and we want to make sure all the pieces are in place to fully fund this effort so we can deploy our volunteers and activists at the launch event.

AIPAC is already starting to roll out expensive ads targeting progressive leaders like Ilhan Omar, Jamaal Bowman, Summer Lee, and others. Our movement is ready to jump into action, but we need to know what resources we can count on as we set our strategy for the weeks and months to come.

Thanks to grassroots support, we’ve helped elect more than 1,000 progressives since Bernie founded Our Revolution, and we plan to grow that number in 2024. Let’s keep it going!

Action Alert: Biden sends more weapons to Netanyahu

By Take Action

President Biden shows no willingness to slow down America’s shipments of weapons to Israel — he’s already sent more than $570 million worth of bombs to Netanyahu since the start of this war. The only way forward right now is peace, diplomacy, and an immediate, permanent Ceasefire.

Add your name: President Biden must choose Peace in Gaza. Demand that he do everything in his power to help broker a permanent Ceasefire NOW!

As Bernie has said for months, “Not another nickel for Netanyahu’s immoral war against the Palestinian people.”

Bernie’s courageous advocacy alongside other pro-Peace progressives like Rashida Tlaib, Barbara Lee, Ilhan Omar, Summer Lee, and Pramila Jayapal cannot stop and will not stop until there’s peace in Gaza. They won’t stop advocating for an end to financial support for Netanyahu’s war. And they won’t stop calling for an end to arming Israel with the weapons used to kill Palestinian civilians.

But it appears President Biden won’t stop arming Israel, even as Netanyahu’s war is killing civilians and Israeli forces are blocking food, water, and medical aid to the people of Gaza. The way forward is PEACE NOW so Netanyahu ends his bombing campaigns against the Palestinian people.

Add your name: Ceasefire NOW! No more atrocities against the Palestinian people. Peace and diplomacy are the only way to save Gaza.

Half a Million Uncommitted Votes for Peace!

By Homepage, Policy Fights

Our Revolution and the Uncommitted coalition have mobilized more than HALF A MILLION votes for Peace in Michigan, Minnesota, Washington and other Democratic primaries to urge Biden to push for a permanent ceasefire and end U.S. funding of Netanyahu’s war in Gaza.

Last week, Washington State added 89,997 uncommitted votes to that total. Our Revolution was proud to reach out to our 131k members in the state through text, calls and emails, and we partnered with Rami Alkabra, Deputy Mayor of Bothell, WA and a Palestinian-American, to get the word out.

In his State of the Union speech, Biden finally called for “an immediate ceasefire to last 6 weeksand he has recently criticized Netanyahu, saying he’s “hurting Israel more than helping.” This is a start, but the Netanyahu government continues to bomb civilians and block critical supplies — and Biden’s floating aid pier off the coast of Gaza will take 30-90 days to construct.

“It’s on the president to make those changes and on the campaign to adjust, to bring these folks back in so we have the coalition that we need to be able to beat Trump in November,” Our Revolution Campaigns Director Paco Fabian told The Hill.

Let’s maintain our momentum for a PERMANENT ceasefire! Uncommitted votes in Wisconsin on April 2nd will reinforce the message: It’s time for President Biden to realign with the values of the base.

By Homepage, Progressive Champions, Take Action

AIPAC plans to spend $100 MILLION to try to unseat pro-Peace progressives this election year — and it’s already getting started with Congresswoman Summer Lee’s primary for re-election less than one month out.

Our Revolution is partnering with more than a dozen organizations nationwide as part of a new Reject AIPAC coalition to fight back. Voters must know AIPAC is as toxic as the NRA.

AIPAC and its GOP megadonors have no place spending millions in Democratic primaries & lobbying against Palestinian lives. Join our movement!

Our Revolution Chair Larry Cohen has signed on with Jewish Americans Opposing AIPAC with a mission to “support candidates who are opposed by AIPAC and who are advocates for peace and a new, just US policy toward Israel/Palestine,” The Nation reports.

Last week, Our Revolution joined Sen. Bernie Sanders, US Rep. Ro Khanna, and service workers from around the country for a special Covid Memorial event hosted by One Fair Wage.

“This memorial service asks us to remember not just the 12,000 service workers who lost their lives in the pandemic, but all the lives harmed by the restaurant industry’s exploitative business model built on subminimum wages, not paying benefits, and leaving workers vulnerable to abuses,” said Our Revolution Executive Director Joseph Geevarghese.

Bernie said: “What Covid taught us is that if you have a lot of money in the midst of a terrible pandemic, you can retreat to your home and not get exposed, but if you’re a working person - in the service industry - there was no option. You had to go to work and put your life on the line to feed your family.”

Our Revolution is proud to stand in solidarity to fight state by state to raise wages and radically reform how the industry treats workers. “‘Our role is to pray for the dead and fight like hell for the living.’ That’s what we’re called to do,” Joseph quoted legendary labor leader Mother Jones.

NEW ENDORSEMENT!

Our Revolution is proud to endorse Susheela Jayapal for Congress in Oregon’s 3rd Congressional District, and Bernie Sanders has joined us in supporting her in this race!

Susheela has been an outspoken champion for affordable housing, education, economic justice, and a living wage. As a Multnomah County Commissioner, she fiercely advocated for survivors of domestic violence and solutions to the homelessness crisis.

In Congress, Susheela will be a strong progressive voice, championing abortion rights, taking on big polluters and fighting climate change, and standing up to election deniers to defend our democracy.

OHIO VICTORIES

In Ohio, Our Revolution-endorsed Tristan Rader is heading to the general election in November in his run for State House in District 13.

Tristan has served in dual roles as the Ohio Program Director at Solar United Neighbors (SUN) and as a deeply engaged member of the Lakewood City Council.

He is a trailblazer for sustainability and social equity. “We must champion universal healthcare, uphold workers' rights, defend our environment, and tirelessly work towards social and economic justice for every Ohioan,” Tristan said.

“This is not just a political battle; it's a moral imperative,” he said. “We cannot stand idly by as the far-right’s agenda of bigotry and hatred defines what it is to be an Ohioan. The time for decisive action is now.”

★ ★ ★

CALIFORNIA VICTORIES

We are excited to announce that Jovanka Beckles won her primary and will be on the ballot for CA State Senate this November!

Jovanka had our support - and Bernie’s! - in her successful campaigns for Richmond City Council, including in 2014 when she took on Chevron for polluting her community and WON!

As a city councilor, she raised the minimum wage. As a Teamsters Local 856 member, she’s on the picket lines at a moment’s notice. As District 7's next state senator, she will be the courageous leader we need to pass policies that put people over profit.

“I’m running because we need bold leadership who will be courageous on climate, healthcare, criminal justice reform, housing, taxing the rich, women’s and worker’s rights, and more,” Jovanka said.

Our Revolution-endorsed Tina McKinnor will be joining the CA Assembly! Tina knows how to legislate and get things done for working people.

As Chief of Staff to several Assembly members, she helped pass over 100 bills, including historic legislation that gave the California legislative staff the right to unionize and collectively bargain for the first time in the state's history.

Nithya Raman beat out the competition and will be an amazing asset to the progressive movement as a member of Los Angeles City Council!

Nithya has worked to remedy extreme poverty in India and started a grassroots volunteer program in her community in Los Angeles, which brought down the number of unsheltered homeless individuals in her district for the first time in years.

Mai Vang will be a powerful member of the Sacramento City Council and a voice for working people, the environment, housing, and peace. This is how we build local power to directly improve lives in the city of Sacramento.

Right wing forces tried to push tough-on-crime judges, Our Revolution was pleased to endorse Judges Michael Begert and Patrick Thompson who won their seats on the San Francisco Superior Court.

★ ★ ★

PARTY SEAT VICTORIES

Our Revolution is working to transform the Democratic Party from the inside out because we know how important it is to elect progressives to crucial positions to grow our influence at all levels inside the party.

Three of our candidates won seats on the Democratic Party of San Francisco County Central Committee - Jon Avalos, Jane Kim, and Connie Chan. These seats are key to growing progressive influence on the party’s policy platforms and endorsements.

In Alameda County, CA, 8 of our candidates will be joining the ranks of the Democratic Party of Alameda County Central Committee.

Each of these progressive committee members brings their life experience to the table to stand up for our progressive principles: from healthcare justice to housing and homelessness, we need these voices inside the Democratic Party.

New progressive champions on the Democratic Party of Contra Costa County (CA) Central Committee now include Leslie Baxter, Michelle Simon, Laura Patch, and Devin T. Murphy.

We’re looking forward to partnering with them to make the party more transparent and responsive to the grassroots.

Finally, two new progressive committee members are joining the Democratic Party of Kern County Central Committee - labor organizer Megan Russell and Ajaib Gill, a lawyer committed to criminal justice reform and education.

These allies will help us push for more progressive policies and push back against corporate influence and dark money within the party.

Our Revolution Weighs in on to Historic Protest Vote in Washington State

By Homepage, Policy Fights

Our Revolution – America’s largest progressive political action organization – is proud to stand in solidarity with American Muslim Advancement Council, UFCW Local 3000, Seattle DSA, LTM and others who helped power the Washington Uncommitted campaign.

In Washington’s primary, Our Revolution went all-out to mobilize our 132,000 supporters by phone, text, and email.  We also teamed up with Dep. Mayo Rami Al-Kabra of Bothell, WA, to record a robodial message heard by tens of thousands of voters as they got ready to head to the polls.

Because of our coalition’s collective work, almost 10% of WA primary voters cast a protest vote against President Biden’s complicity in Netanayhu’s brutal war targeting civilians in Gaza.

And that means nationally, nearly half a million progressive primary voters across the country have used their ballots to send Biden a message:  Change course now on Gaza or cede the White House and the future of American democracy to Trump.

We see that our pressure campaign for Peace, here and in key battleground states like Michigan Minnesota and NC, is working. President Biden is now calling for a temporary ceasefire and signaled willingness to condition aid to Israel

These are words – not action.  In order to shore up the progressive vote, Biden must secure a permanent ceasefire by any means necessary.

And until he does, Our Revolution will continue to show up, speak out, and carry our pro-peace movement to Wisconsin and beyond.

Susheela Jayapal for Congress

By Progressive Champions

Our Revolution is proud to endorse Susheela Jayapal for Congress in Oregon’s 3rd Congressional District, and we Bernie Sanders has joined us in supporting her in this race!

Susheela, a mother of two, has been an outspoken champion for reproductive rights, education, and economic justice.

Prior to entering elected office, she was a dedicated community advocate and volunteer, serving on numerous local boards, including Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette, Metropolitan Family Service, and All Hands Raised; and as an advocate with CASA for Children among others.

Susheela most recently served as the Multnomah County Commissioner, where she has been a fierce advocate for her work supporting survivors of domestic violence and sex trafficking as well as finding real solutions to the homelessness crisis.

Creating more affordable housing, long term rent assistance, behavioral health services, standing with workers to fight for a living wage and has increased support for immigrant and refugee communities.

In Congress, Susheela will continue to be a strong progressive voice, fighting for the health and safety of our community, championing abortion rights, taking on big polluters and fighting climate change, and standing up to election deniers to defend our democracy.

Thanks to the work of Our Revolution members and our progressive movement, we now have the largest Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC) in history!

Endorsing Susheela Jayapal and helping to get her elected in Oregon’s 3rd Congressional District is an opportunity to make our progressive voting bloc in the U.S. House even stronger.

What’s next for Team Lee

By Progressive Champions

Barbara Lee didn’t get across the finish line, but our work for her Senate campaign was not in vain.  Every vote for Barbara was a vote for the Peace Candidate in this race.

Our supporters and volunteers reached out with approximately 2 MILLION voter contacts, and we were joined along the way by Ro Khanna, Pramilia Jayapal, Rashida Tlaib, Cori Bush and other progressive leaders to lift up Barbara and our issue priorities for Peace, healthcare for all, environmental justice, housing, and much more.

We accomplished a lot in face of big money headwinds and the party machine backing Adam Schiff. It’s unfortunate that Schiff used his plentiful resources to elevate two-time Trump voter and Republican opponent Steve Garvey — a strategy that may have backfired now that the two are neck-and-neck for the general election in November.

“Despite being heavily outspent by my opponents, our values never wavered,” Barbara said. “In every step of this campaign, we never backed down from our progressive vision, and worked relentlessly to build a coalition that represents communities that too often are not afforded a seat at the table.”
